Why is everyone getting so het up about scanning Bar Codes ?

On my PLF returning from Germany and Greece I have opted not to scan my Vaccination Status just declaring that I am exempt due to being fully inoculated.

BA ask for an upload of my PLF and Vaccination Certificate and I don't have to bother about all this scanning nonsense.

Cleared UK Border at LHR 40 mins ago returning from Greece, through the e-gates and out no paperwork checks - no one there out in minutes.

I would assume there is some sort of random audit at the UK end if you dont upload something, therefore to save the potential faff isnt it just worth uploading it if its there?

Well i do that as well but its hardly a hardship to screenshot the NHS 2nd jab QR code off the app and upload that when prompted, is it? 🤷‍♂️
