Mine wouldn't scan either, but it's not a problem to tick NO that you can't prove your status on the PLF. It still lets you complete the PLF. When you check in to travel back, the airline will ask for proof of vaccine status plus proof that you've booked your day 2 test. They accepted my email from the test provider on my phone as proof of the test booking.

my 2 of 2 QR code scanned OK, but the wifes did not? now she has to prove her vaccination at airport.
is it worth re trying using my phone or is that just going to screw things up even more?
    what a farce
I think that's what happened to me.

In my case after a couple of attempts the system wouldn't allow any more and just said I'd need to prove status at the airport. Is that your case ?
yes. tried numerous attempts to upload qr code and in document form. we'll just have to grin and bear it at edinburgh airport. i'm sure it will go like clockwork........
  • Can anyone help please?
I'm trying to complete the Spanish PLF as we fly Saturday morning.  When uploading the covid passes, it tells me that the names don't match.  The PLF has our middle names on it (to match passports) but the NHS Covid passes do not (which a quick google has told me is normal).  Help!

Just do it to match the NHS app, not the passport. So take your middle name OFF the Spanish form.

Thank you so much - that sorted it!

My NHS Covid Pass document is in letter form.
Where exactly is the QR code on this letter?
There is a barcode at the top, with an arrow pointing to it saying "Your unique reference. Use this to confirm your NHS COVID Pass".
Then there are four very small QR codes in the letter. One in the left margin, 2 under the name and address, one under a reference in very small text.
The Passenger Locator Form asks me to scan or upload a QR code, validating my vaccination status.
So which of these QR codes do I select? Or do I have to scan the bar code?!

Probably a bit late but if you have a NHS letter then don't bother with the QR code just take the letter with you and show that.
Sorry I can't think of anything profound, clever or witty to write here.

Strange that the instructions on the official Government web site mention a QR code, yet the printed letter seems to use a bar code. Is this another example of the assumption that everyone has access to a smartphone when they travel?

    Just done my PLF
It wouldn't scan my QR code no matter how I tried
Tried to upload the pdf vac cert but 'QR code too small'!!!
Did a screenshot of vac cert QR code and saved as a jpeg - result
They really do like to make things complicated!!!
  • Yes, they dont seem to like any document you upload that has TWO QR codes so the PDF is more or less pointless to try and upload.
