Is it true that we're now being billed on the new, "deemed tarrif" of whatever supplier we end up with, from this point? Without even knowing what it is or what it costs.

As Avro have sent NO notification about this, people could be racking up a LOT of extra debt that they can't actually afford, as they'll have no idea it's happened! (Who's going to sit randomly just checking the front page of their website every day?). Surely businesses can't just exit out of a contract without at least notifying the other party that it's now not in effect?

Or are we being charged as normal during this time (who picks up the tab?), until we receive notification from Ofgem or the NEW supplier, that we're being moved to a new contract?
  • The new supplier could honour the avro tariffs until their expiry, but I'm 99% sure they won't, so yep, we're all be on a variable tariff from the new supplier, which starts now.

    With NO notification?
As mentioned I'm alright for cash but a lot of people aren't going to be able to weather being hit by a bill they never even knew they owed, as Avro provided no notification of cancellation of the contract & ceasing to trade! (and no, a small paragraph on the front page of a website doesn't count, as people wouldn't know to check it).

I only even knew about this myself because my mum is constantly reading this forum, and told me!

FYI - I have just managed to login to my Avro account @ 01:00.  Have now downloaded all statements and screenshotted everything. I assume it was not working yesterday pm as the site was overwhelmed......!

I can log in, but it shows no detail, just grey lines! (Google Chrome)

Cannot even sign in via Safari. Returning "type mismatch"

The same for me, how are we supposed to check what credit we have!!
  • I was able to screenshot the bills and readings at about 6am, but now its just grey lines. It could just be the website is overloaded with customers trying to log in.
  • As an Avro customer should we be cancelling our Avro D/D as mine comes out at the beginning of the month? Thanks
  • With Avro but I'm moving house on 28th September. My account is in credit by over £200 and supplier at my new home is Shell. Avro's website won't let me in, so how to I submit my final meter readings? Not sure what to do here, but obviously don't want to be paying 2 sets of bills. Any advice gratefully received, thanks.
