Nope, not since the initial advisory email.Spies said:Has anyone recevied any further communication from EDF as yet?0 -
Exactly same as me. Proposed Switch date 10 Oct 🤞🤞🤞Doc_N said:
We’re in the same boat then. I said I’d switched to BG, but I should have said started switch. Looking good though - account set up, readings taken by BG and due to switch 10 October.macgyver said:Same with me. Have 395 in credit n am also trying to switch to BG. 🤞🤞I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0 -

same here
I note that there has been no auto acknowledgement of the transfer from UP which again leads me to suspect that UPs billing system will continue to take direct debit payments AFTER the transfer
I have sent am email to UP asking for the DD to be cancelled but if that gets ignored I will cancel it with my bank instead
I guess the SoLR, EDF, should eventually refund all such payments in a few months but in my case I am not currently in credit so would just be creating extra hassle for myself by allowing the payments to continue - the main downside is that £15 failed direct debit fees might still get added to my account balance even though I have transferred out & I will have to complain to get them removed

Switch to British Gas has now gone through - phew! Fixed for a year, anyway, and at the same rate as the EDF variable rate.1

If you want to bother comparing your BG Evolve rate to what you would have paid with EDF you should be able to find out the EDF tariff using this linkDoc_N said:Switch to British Gas has now gone through - phew! Fixed for a year, anyway, and at the same rate as the EDF variable rate.

Potentially the big saving at the BG Evolve fixed rate will come next April when the price cap will sky rocket - gas usage will be low for the summer months but the fix will help more in autumn 2022
Will be interesting to see if gas prices come back down by next April allowing suppliers to offer cheaper deals again
I have a sneaking suspicion that wont happen & that much higher price are here to stay

I'd already checked the EDF tariff before I switched, and the two are almost identical. The switch made perfect sense, because it's fixed for a year but has no early cancellation penalties. Unsurprisingly, that tariff hasn't been available for a while now - it was a special tariff only available through the Lidl app but was changed the day after I signed up.Inigo_Montoya said:

BG Evolve took over my gas supply yesterday
However when I check https://www.findmysupplier.energy/webapp/index.html
Its still showing as EDF - hopefully this is just some lag in updating the system
This is different from my Symbio to Neon Reef move for electric where it updated the same day

Same here. Not bothered though, because the confirmation email from BG yesterday and their website are more than enough to go on should they attempt to backtrack. Most systems are going to be laggy in the present situation.Inigo_Montoya said:BG Evolve took over my gas supply yesterday

Hi alI joined utility point in august.
Paid 1 direct debit at £116.
Went bust, heard on news.
No communication from UP or EDF at all.
Cancelled DD so it wasn't taken end of September.
Still none the wiser about communication.
Anything I should be doing?0 -
Same with me. Got an email on 10th from BG that they have taken over. No contact from EDF. Have not cancelled by Direct Debit. They might take 57 quid again this month. Will send an email to EDF informing them that I am no longer with them.Inigo_Montoya said:BG Evolve took over my gas supply yesterday
