I thought I was being clever and cancelled the dd. However further consideration I was able to reactivate the dd. Good I thought. However there is an issue. I received confirmation from UP saying the dd has been reactivated but it quotes the old sort code and account. Even though I was switching bank accounts and the dd was transferred to my new bank it is quoting the old details.
I have been advised under those circumstances the dd would not be paid due to account being closed. Hopefully UP/EDF do not punish me for this. Under normal conditions I could have just spoken to UP and the matter would have been resolved.

I originally canceled the DD and asked Santander to reinstate it, about 6 months ago I switched to Santander the automated email had the old details shown am pretty sure it's just a bug on DD system they use displaying the original detail on sign up since the DD payment come out my account fine today.CRISPIANNE3 said:I received confirmation from UP saying the dd has been reactivated but it quotes the old sort code and account. It is due to be taken on 1 October. Fingers crossed then all will be well. However they already owe me £100.00.K2rool said:

I’ll be interested to see how quickly my transfer to British Gas from Utility Point via EDF takes!Inigo_Montoya said:

I've not yet received the rates which EDF will be charging me. Having looked at the Deemed Rate file, it does state that these rates do not apply where EDF has been appointed as SoLR. Have you been told by EDF that this rate card is applicable to ex UP customers?Doc_N said:

These are the EDF rates that now apply:sam1970 said:My supplier now is showing as EDF but apart from an email few days ago informing me of the move I had no confirmation of what tariff I will be on. How do I find out the tariff so I can compare the to other deals?

There is an element of guesswork here, but I've seen nothing to suggest that EDF took these customers on at anything lower than these rates. It's always possibly that the tariff will be lower, but I'm sure if that were the case they'd have said so. Not letting people know the rate they're on is inexcusable in my book, and I'm amazed that Ofgem are letting them get away with it. It's like going into a restaurant without any idea of the bill.Dave_save said:

For me, at any rate, it's identical to the Deemed Rate referred to above.
