Also does it help if you ever go America and you can use the same Chase over there
    Help in what sense?

You can use the Chase UK card worldwide, incl. in the US, with very good (Mastercard) exchange rates. You can also withdraw cash at a Chase US ATM free of charge but beyond that, there is no link or special deal between your Chase UK account and their US operation.

Withdrawing cash free in USA is a good plus using the CHASE CARD. How is the exchange rate compared to other banks

Really - That is so strange! So anyone can open this account. Any overdraft facility?

There is no overdraft facility which may be why there is no hard search.

They also have a website which provides a lot of useful information on their accounts.

It's not unique that banks don't do a hard search for current account applications. Starling and Monzo have been doing this for years.

The soft search doesn't guarantee that anyone can open the account - apart from having to be a UK resident and at least 18, you have to have a Government issued photo ID, as well as a 64 bit mobile phone or tablet which can run the Chase UK app.

For the record, it was a joke, but obviously not a very good one if it has to be explained!
