I’m using the app on my phone purchased in 2017. If it works on a 5 year old device then they won’t be excluding many people as many people upgrade every couple of years.

The age of the phone isn't in itself the issue, it's more about the capabilities of the hardware, the use of 64-bit rather than 32-bit operating system and the upgrade policy applied by the provider, so some 2017 phones will be OK but conversely many 2022 ones won't be....

It is less about the age of the phone but mainly about the capability of the hardware. I think the consensus is that Chase UK won't run on any 32-bit hardware.

Likewise (or rather I have an old device from 2017 that can run the app). However, there are still devices being sold today with 32-bit Android loaded on them, which is not compatible. It is something to check when buying a new phone as more apps are going to require 64-bit in the future. Chase isn't the first and it won't be the last.
Edit: goodness, synchronised replies in triplicate!
  • Has anybody had a problem with chase UK and fraud? Somebody has managed to withdraw all funds from my account.

Usually I need to approve any online payments on the app but this must of been overridden. I am worried that their are weaknesses in chases controls and  systems as a new bank in the UK.

I have reported it to chase but the customer service is very poor and I don't feel they are really looking into this.

Has anyone tried refer a friend yet? It's sending a link which doesnt appear to do anything and eventually times out ....
Yeah, shared via message on iPhone. Link took me to the App Store to download the chase app. Opening the account (verification checks) took about an hour. £20 credited immediately after depositing the £20 into the spending account. Surprised how quick it all was.

Withdrawn? As in a cash withdrawal, debit card payment, or bank transfer?

It should bounce to the relevant app store, or the app itself if already installed. The new customer can use the code instead if they manually install the app.
Hi, do you know at what stage in the application process it asks you to input the referral code?

It doesn't, the link you click/tap is all you need.
