I have just open a chase current account and wants to know if there is a direct debit facility for it as Im planning to move my bills to them if I can get cashback on them.
Im thinking to move gas&electricity, tv license, phone/broadband bills.
Thanks for those who will answer
Yes, Chase UK do offer DDs. But you will not get any cashback for DDs. only for debit card payments.

The only UK bank currently offering cashback on DDs are Santander, whilst the only UK bank currently offering cashback on debit card payments [for one year] are Chase UK. To maximise your returns, you can hold accounts at both. Although it might be tedious, and you might only earn small amounts - it all depends on your personal circumstances.
just to make it clear for myself, I won't get cashback if I set-up direct debit but will I get cash back if I pay my tv license, gas and electric, water bill by debit card?
Yes that sounds correct - you get cashback [for 1 year] for debit card payments on all items not on the excluded list  TV Licence cashback definitely works at Chase, and utilities should too - though as per above, you might get better cashback for utilities at Santander.
Does council tax payment made by debit card qualify for cashback?
Depends on your local authority. Some have had success, I did not.

Tried Sainsbury's Pay at Pump again today, this time with over £100 in the account and it worked fine.
I got a notification on the phone that I'd spent £100 - the pre-fuelling authorisation amount - that didn't appear in the list of transactions though which is correct. The actual fuelled amount did and cashback showed as pending. There's also another £1 I wasn't expecting as pending cashback, but assume that will drop off.
Also joined the 1p club to get the extra 99p roundup.

Does Chase have a refer a friend scheme?
Does it the cashback and round up work for PayPal payments or making a payment to my credit card? If they do I'd happily make several manual payments instead of a DD for full payment.

Have you tried making the payment through Curve? I have just made an online purchase, went through without a hitch.
If I link a Chase card to my curve card and made a payment to PayPal (Friends and Family) or to my credit card,
    1-does Curve charge a fee?
2-And would Chase honour the cashback?
    3-Would round-up kick in?
  • Payments to credit cards do not earn cashback.

Just used my Chase card to take a trip on a Lothian bus. Preauthorized payment of 10p with 90p gone to my roundup account.  I expect the 10p to increase overnight to the proper fare for the day, but the roundup should remain unchanged.

Could be useful for roundup collectors who live in the area?

Hi all. I've been having a bit of a nightmare trying to complete ID verification with Chase. I've submitted my passport and driving license photos and then taken a selfie as instructed. Every time I do this, I get a text message saying they are checking my info, then I go back to the app and it says "Sorry, something went wrong. Please retake another selfie and ID photo". I  have done it multiple times. I'm bout to give up on the endeavour. Did anyone else have issues with the ID verification when attempting to open an account?

If it's of any help, I was told to put your driving licence on a black background when taking a photo, and to stand against a white(ish) background for selfie.

1p club? You're putting through 1p transactions somewhere?

I did 30 x £1 transactions to my credit cards from tsb debit card for six months and the credit card providers started getting upset about it.

I imagine if buying petrol for example, deliberately  going over a round number by 1p.
