Used the card for the first time yesterday. Supermarket, all good. Petrol station, ok.
Then used it to pay the deposit on a holiday cottage, for just over £200. This seemed ok, it sent the authorisation to the app. I approved it. Then the transaction was rejected, presumably by the vendor. Immediately used a different card, and that went through ok. Not sure why the Chase one didn't......

Is it correct that Nationwide online doesn't yet recognise Chase u.k. Account.

    thanks

Could you be more specific? Chase UK does not support confirmation of payee if that's what you mean.

Its Nationwide alert for confirmation of Chase bank acc+sort code not recognised as payee.

We’re unable to check the payee details you entered. Some accounts can’t be checked because not all account providers are using this service at the moment. This doesn't mean the details you've entered are incorrect. If you're unsure, confirm the details with the payee. Cancel the payment now if you think someone might be trying to scam you.

WARNING: Continuing with this payment may lead to the funds being sent to the wrong account and if Nationwide cannot recover the money, you may not be refunded.

Yes, this is normal, not only for Chase but also most niche savings providers. Only the major institutions allow checking of the payee name for the time being. Send a £1 test payment to make sure the details are correct before transferring a large sum.

That's the kind of message you currently get for Chase at all banks which run Confirmation of Payee, and it can safely be ignored if you use the correct payee details.

If you are unsure you are using the right sort code and account number, just make a £1 test payment before you send larger amounts.
