In the app press the card image at the top and then select See Details. Number, Expiry Date, CCV etc are all there

I joined Chase after downloading the app.
I've tried to deposit money but I am receiving scam warnings from two existing banks (Barclays and Starling).
Also, worryingly, there is this scam warning on the FCA website:
Chase UK (clone of FCA authorised firm) | FCA
I rang up Chase on 08003763333 and was told just to ignore the warnings and go ahead and make my deposit.
Not a great start!
Anyone else had a similar experience?0 -
Chase are not part of the details checking process yet.0

I used a third-party app to find the full card number of my physical card so I could link the card with Airtime Rewards.
You can also run into problems buying train tickets for collection - if you use the card details shown in your Chase app, you won't be able to use the physical card to collect the tickets from a self-service machine as the card numbers won't match.Similar issue to buying items online and returning to store for a refund (I do this with M&S purchases occasionally). The more I learn about & experience Chase the less I like the proposition.0 -
There is a workaround, which is to use a website/app to buy your tickets that lets you pay by Google Pay or Apple Pay - this will set your tickets to 'any card collection' so it won't matter that the virtual and physical cards don't match.
LNER, to their credit, include a warning on their website about not using virtual cards to buy tickets for collectionOfficial MSE Forum Team member. Please report all problem posts to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
How about buying airline tickets online eg with BA?
Some airlines ask you to show the payment card at checkin (or at least specify that you will have to show the card if asked) - there are no numbers on the card and even if they accepted the numbers shown on the app would they match?0 -

There is a Chase support page here - https://www.chase.co.uk/gb/en/support/find-card-details/ - which talks about different card numbers. On the subject of buying tickets online, they suggest using e-tickets rather than collecting physical tickets but of course for some tickets that's not possible.

Yes the physical card number is definitely not the same as the one displayed in the app for online / phone use.
There are a number of Android apps which will read a contactless card via NFC and give you the card details.Official MSE Forum Team member. Please report all problem posts to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com2 -
Well thanks for the warning James - I’d have been so stressed if I booked airline tickets and then couldn’t produce the ‘right’ card at check-in!0
