    My personal experience is
    A) I haven't collected physical tickets in years. I always just have train tickets on my phone (often upload a copy to Google pay or use train ticket app). In days when I did pick up physical tickets, I have been in situations where my old card had expired by the time I was picking up tickets. Was never a problem if I had ID or reference number.

    B) I regularly buy plane tickets for my parents who live on another country and they have never had problems checking in to flights despite not having the cars (and card not being in their name).

    C) for hotels - you don't need same card. If I am travelling with someone else and they booked the room (with their card as guarantee). We often use my card to pay for hotel as I always have a card with no abroad fees. Even if I have booked it, I always use my Amex on initial booking but use my travel card in person.

While it's useful to know that the physical and virtual cards have different numbers, I think the practical application isn't as important in real life.

There are some rail journeys (notably those involving cross-London transfers) where eTickets can't be issued, so collecting is your only option. Likewise if you buy a PlusBus add-on for your ticket, that will force the booking to be collection-only.

And showing ID and the reference number is fine so long as you're trying to collect tickets from a location that is staffed.

The rise of eTickets for rail travel certainly diminishes the issue of the non-matching card numbers, but it would still be easy to be caught out at a non-staffed station, or outside ticket office opening hours when no-one's on hand to help you resolve it.

Moto G5 updated to Android 8 = non compatible.
Yep, Motorola in their wisdom installed the 32Bit version of Android on a phone capable of 64Bit which the app needs.

Other than rooting it and installing a custom OS (there are some 64bit ones for the G5) you can't install the Chase UK app on it.

This will still be a problem with some Train Operating Companies' Ticket Offices at least and the staff there will not be able to override a "same card" collection (the Ticket Office machines prompt the card to be inserted in these cases). The original retailer would need to be called and ask to change it to "any card" collection.

Just a warning that the 'instant access' savings account can take over a week to actually withdrawal your money (depending on the amount of savings) as they have a strict faster payments limit of £25k per day. No other way of getting larger amounts out.
Apart from this i have found the app and customer service very good

Does anyone know if you can put the app on 2 phones for a single account?
It would be handy to put it on my wife's phone too.

    Thx.

No, if you register a second device it will deactivate the first.

If you try to install on a new device it warns that the account will be removed from the old device.

I will see if I can get screen shot.

If your wife just wants to use your card, this is strictly speaking against the T&Cs you agreed, but you might be able to fudge it with Apple/Google/Samsung Pay, or with a Curve card. But be prepared to get pulled up over it if you both use the card at the same/similar time, particularly so if there is a geographical distance between you. Why can‘t she have her own Chase account?

Over a week at £25k a day is a LOT of money (well over the £85k protection cap).

Out of interest, does anyone know if it's £25k per day, per account, or per customer/'profile'?
