My personal experience is
A) I haven't collected physical tickets in years. I always just have train tickets on my phone (often upload a copy to Google pay or use train ticket app). In days when I did pick up physical tickets, I have been in situations where my old card had expired by the time I was picking up tickets. Was never a problem if I had ID or reference number.I regularly buy plane tickets for my parents who live on another country and they have never had problems checking in to flights despite not having the cars (and card not being in their name).
C) for hotels - you don't need same card. If I am travelling with someone else and they booked the room (with their card as guarantee). We often use my card to pay for hotel as I always have a card with no abroad fees. Even if I have booked it, I always use my Amex on initial booking but use my travel card in person.
While it's useful to know that the physical and virtual cards have different numbers, I think the practical application isn't as important in real life.0 -
There are some rail journeys (notably those involving cross-London transfers) where eTickets can't be issued, so collecting is your only option. Likewise if you buy a PlusBus add-on for your ticket, that will force the booking to be collection-only.
And showing ID and the reference number is fine so long as you're trying to collect tickets from a location that is staffed.
The rise of eTickets for rail travel certainly diminishes the issue of the non-matching card numbers, but it would still be easy to be caught out at a non-staffed station, or outside ticket office opening hours when no-one's on hand to help you resolve it.Official MSE Forum Team member. Please report all problem posts to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com1 -

Other than rooting it and installing a custom OS (there are some 64bit ones for the G5) you can't install the Chase UK app on it.0 -

Just a warning that the 'instant access' savings account can take over a week to actually withdrawal your money (depending on the amount of savings) as they have a strict faster payments limit of £25k per day. No other way of getting larger amounts out.
Apart from this i have found the app and customer service very good0 -
Does anyone know if you can put the app on 2 phones for a single account?
It would be handy to put it on my wife's phone too.
Thx.You're Damned If You Do & You're Damned If You Don't :doh:0 -

Out of interest, does anyone know if it's £25k per day, per account, or per customer/'profile'?0
