    Not very impressive.

Again the SEPA receiving is a strange thing, as I have said before, I simply extrapolated the IBAN and BIC and did a SEPA payment (currency GBP)that easily landed on my CHASE account.. why they would say that it is unavailable is beyond me. Maybe they do not want to receive payment in other currencies yet? (The latest survey has few question about such a feature: receiving other currencies and converting it at market leading rates

Am I right in thinking that unlike some other banks that charge c2.5%/transaction fee for debit card payments made in Euros that with Chase current account card there is no fee?
Yes, there are no foreign currency fees, however, as per any other UK issued card, there may be ATM fees applied by the ATM operator abroad for not customers. This is particularly common in  USA, Spain and Greece amongst others. But the great feature of Chase Uk if travelling to the USA, is that you can use Chase USA’s ATM being sure of not being charged the ATM fee!

Basically, any large purchases are excluded from cashback:

    Investments
    Council tax
    University fees
    Car purchase and maintenance
    Etc.

So it's about grocery shopping, purchases on Amazon, purchases from shops, gym memberships etc.
What purchase was it? For Chase, it pretty much looks like anything that could be a large purchase would not qualify for cashback...
Best to refrain from posting utter nonsense that you've just made up. The list is quite clear and there's absolutely no suggestion from Chase that larger purchases are disqualified from cashback
Back at you. Maybe actually learn how to read. I wrote that, given the long exclusion list, many typical large purchases would be excluded, e.g. car purchase and maintenance, investments, tax etc.

Therefore, might be useful to come up with a list of what can be included, as exclusions are quite long.
I've highlighted what you've put. Take a minute to read and understand your non-ambiguous, crystal clear statements

    Both of which are false/untrue.
Let me correct my statement, as I can see some people can easily be confused with not much: many "items" that are typically large purchases are excluded from cashback, as you would expect from any respectable bank.

They are of course not going to give cashbacks on car purchases and maintenance, university fees, taxes or investments etc., which are typical transactions involving large amounts for normal people...

Doesn't mean you can buy an expensive TV and get cashback, but it means many people won't have opportunities to make much money from cashback (as intended by the bank).
And I would made it even clearer that in your examples of large “purchases”Investments and Tax are not purchased and have always been threaten that way by virtually all the cashback schemes. Similarly as other Bank’s Debit Card cashback would be limited to selected providers and Dealerships would most often then not only accept Credit Card for deposit but not for the bulk payment, cashback on car purchases is limited at best.

What is more, for people that do travel, is that Airlines tickets, hotels (even in a foreign currencies, day out activity (e.g amusement parks) can all be fairly large amounts and all have earned me nice cashback!

I have a question on round ups.

A couple of days ago I paid £5.50 for bus tickets via contactless. On the Chase app it registered as £0.10, which is how many remote systems initially confirm a card before claiming the full amount later.

My Chase app rounded this up to £1 and put £0.90 in my round up account. Today though, the full £5.50 is in my current account and the round up account but the round up account has not been adjusted.

Also, my main account has a balance including pennies, whereas previously it had always been round pounds.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

PS. I recognise that this is just discussing minutiae, but system anomalies do interest me.
    Yes.

Similar circumstances when using Park & Ride. It rounds up initial grab, but doesn't adjust when full fare taken.

Also, refunds which are not round pounds will skew the figures too, as of course the associated roundup is not withdrawn from the roundups account.

I just adjust mine back to round pounds by sending anomaly pence to my savings account.

You withdraw from the 5% account to the 1.5% account??

    Who is that question for?

If it is me, I have no idea where you got that assumption from.

I keep my current account in round pounds.

If my current account suffers an anomaly, I transfer those pennies from my current account to my 1.5% savings account.

Have never touched my Roundups account. That is still building nicely. £117 so far since day one of Sep launch.

I do not try and keep my savings accounts in round pounds. What a pointless task that would be 😂

I took that to mean moving the main current account 'odd pence' with no interest to the savings account with 1.5% interest - funny how you can read things differently.

Presumably this is from current account to savings account - to keep the current account at a whole number of pounds as round-ups should.

OK, I misread.  Seems a bit of a waste of time anyway to be manually moving pennies from one account to another.  For what purpose?  Because it looks nicer to not have the pennies?  I have non debit card transactions which are not always in round pounds hence my account often has pennies.

I am pretty sure I know the answer to this question but I will ask it anyway...
Has anyone managed to get Chase debit cashback for renewing Road Tax or VED as not sure if DVLA is included in the Exclusions list?
