It's called Agile - you launch a basic product (Minimum Viable Product) then build on it by incrementally adding more features. If it gets more developed then I think it directly compete with Monzo and Starling.0

It has been a few months now and it's still a lacking account. When are they going to pull their finger out? ie direct debits, overdraft, credit cards.
Being an old bank, I would imagine in common with the UK banks, the legacy infrastructure their US network runs on is not at all portable.
Far more sensible to start from scratch, build an MVP (with one of the qualifiers of that V being that it is lightweight, scalable and expandable) and build from there.0 -

"Them at Chase are not as silly as they look!"1 -
Some additional thoughts having used the Chase MasterCard Debit Card abroad for over a week: the cashback on forex spending at 1% is in itself a feature worth the account, at least for the first year. I already have a legacy MBNA Horizon Card (never open to applicant, simply a substitution products for the old MBNA airlines cards), with 0% forex and 0.5% cashback, but being a ViSA, I used to always prefer to use the Santander Zero MasterCard for foreign spending, but this Chase options (at least for the first year) is now the first choice (had to still use the Santander Zero for the Car Rental for obvious reason).0

Did you have to notify Chase that you were going to use it abroad? I suspect not, but would be useful to know0

Or is that just what you think or assume?
Because unless you have facts to back up the words... I guess you're not really in a position to make such a statement.1 -

I suspect not, but would be useful to knowWhat has however happened is that I tried to circle through my Full Salary for the first time and whilst the money came in fine, the outwards payment got stopped for checks, as it was an “unusual amount” .. before that I had transferred in and out around various amounts up to £750 with no issue. Just to explain this further, it was not one of those payments completely stopped which had to be completely redone after completing Security checks, but instead the money left my account and got held by Chase, and released after completing the checks.1
