I feel a bit deflated about this Chase bank offering. Given the money they have I can't see where it has gone advertising or feature wise. It has been a few months now and it's still a lacking account. When are they going to pull their finger out? ie direct debits, overdraft, credit cards.0

It's entirely up to them what services/products they want to offer.[Deleted User] said:I feel a bit deflated about this Chase bank offering. It's been less than 2 months. You might need to be a bit more patient.[Deleted User] said:I feel a bit deflated about this Chase bank offering. Indeed, and they will face the consequences if they fail to offer anything decent. But we know Chase want to offer these features.Emmia said:

I am happy to wait, actually I have already told them in feedback that I can't use the account as my main one until they have the main features such as DD. I was just under the impression due to the size of the bank or backers of Chase UK the offering would be more on the ball. It is very possible they want to go very slow but it would be helpful for Chase to give an estimate. I just had this vision of Chase US being the same in the UK.WillPS said:

Do we? What "consequences" might they face?[Deleted User] said:

Yes, they won't necessarily attract people who want overdrafts and credit cards, but maybe they don't want those people?1 -
For a secondary card I am quite happy with the 1% cashback tbh, far too much moaning around here.1

I opened this account for my day-to-day spending only, as the 1% cash back didn’t seem like something to sniff at. Annoyingly though, it turns out my place of employment (a University) is considered to “offer services” rather than “goods”.So, it seems that any money I spend on coffee, or lunch, or in the bar(!) at work, is *not* eligible for cash back. Obv not the end of the world, but frustrating to be told that me buying coffee at work is not considered everyday spending but is instead receiving a service. Ha!Challenges:

Banks make money from people who are constantly overdrawn and never clear their credit cards.
Chase is clearly being slow to roll out full banking services, which is surprising. Credit Cards and Overdrafts will be along eventually.1 -
It's only a bank account. Hardly the reinvention of the wheel. Scaling up takes considerable time. Not helped by the pandemic either.Deleted_User said:I feel a bit deflated about this Chase bank offering. Given the money they have I can't see where it has gone advertising or feature wise.
