  • Not strictly a Bank Account update, but finally Chase is launching the Credit Card offer. As per the original account that was offered first to people showing an interest (I signed up as it launched and I received an invite), I have just received a notification of an upcoming invite.

email subject line is “Early-access to the Chase credit card” in case it went into your spam box. Anyone else receive one?
Any idea if they are offering a decent signup bribe?

I wouldn't get too excited, apparently it's not going to be a rewards credit card:

I've read elsewhere it's likely to be a 'basic' credit card at first before they expand their offering.

There is no much info on today’s email other than to announce the invitation to the “beta” testing phase, and that you would still need to be accepted based on lending criteria. It does says that the upcoming email will have further information about the card offer and how to check eligibility before applying.

To be honest, without a reward offer or balance transfer option, it will be of no use to me.
  • Nothing about the credit card just an email from Chase this afternoon about making my money merrier.

I checked the app and there was a red dot next to my profile icon.

When I tapped my profile, there is now a new Credit score icon (powered by TransUnion).

So, nothing in the app about applying for a credit card either.

Nothing in email spam for me, and no 🔴 in the app, either

In today's FT: JPMorgan’s Chase UK launches first credit card

The article says it will have zero percent interest on purchases and no foreign exchange or annual fees. Chase UK will also allow customers to check their credit score within the app. It will offer the credit card to an initial pool of 25000 customers.

That just sounds like an also-run, and not generally available

I won't be rushing. Even the (useless) credit score availability in-app is matched by OTTOMH Lloyds, NatWest and I'm sure others.

Nothing for me. I did get the 'make your money merrier' email, but no red dot or credit score icon in the app (not that I'm remotely interested).

Early access is only available to people who took part in their community surveys and it doesn't seem like even if you did that it's guaranteed. I assume they will be picking people who were actively doing the surveys. Very much a beta.
