  • Anyone who was in credit with PFP had any money back yet? I assumed it would be credited to my BG account but I have had nothing and it is three months since PFP went under.

No, nothing yet which is annoying as I have nearly £300 in credit with PFP but been billed by BG and have to pay by 29th December, was hoping it would come out of my credit at this expensive time of year !

I've heard nothing yet. I'm surprised it's taking this long, I was paying by Direct debit and PfP would send me a bill each month to say if I was in credit or debit and the last one was up to August 24th. Additionally I supplied PFP with meter readings on 12th September when I heard that they had ceased trading. It took me about 15 minutes to work out that I was £58 in credit when BG took over my supply.
  • No sign of my £340 credit (less whatever PFP decide to take up to the point they ceased trading). Just paid £330 to BG for their first bill. But not paid the two other payments totalling £12 and described as Not Invoiced until they explain what that is. Though guess it is addition Standing Charges.

  • Does the 30£ or so compensation apply to the SOLR process? because the switch has been taking forever. I wouldn't consider this "in a timely manner"

No, it doesn't. SoLR transfers take as long as they take.

Briefly, (very briefly), BG quoted a figure of just above £118 debit on 'my home' page.  I did get a bit excited even though there wasn't an actual bill sitting behind the figure.  I put in another meter reading - I like to keep things on track.... then it all disappeared and I'm back to the spurious £5.97.

Meanwhile at PfP land my info displayed has shrunk to a miniscule level.

Even with SOLR there has to be a time limit on how long customers should have to wait it out for finalised bills, surely?

    Well, that's a bit crappy, isn't it?
I don't see the same amount of flexibility when customers owe the suppliers.
Plus, one could argue the monetary loss, coming from them being abvised by the ofgem not to switch and stick around with the SOLR much longer than they should have.

The £12 is Standing Charges from the transition time from  BG being appointed as SoLR (11th September) to the time the actual transfer of your supply took place. This is explained on the BG PFP FAQ page.

It's taking so long because of the way PFP was set up as a company. The Administrators have found PFP was two companies and the boundaries between the two were not clear with no formal inter-company agreements. This has delayed the final bill process. The administrators report has been linked on this thread a few pages ago.
