Evening turtles. Spend day today, bought some protein powder and food shopping is also being delivered later.
Started stripping hallway wallpaper which has been peeling off since we moved in 6 years ago.... was pretty easy, going to carry on over the coming days. It must be decades old (woodchip anyone?!). The walls may need replastering but I won't know for sure until I've stripped them all. So far the little cracks I've found are fillable so hopefully the remaining wallpaper isn't hiding a multitude of sins!
Saw my payslip and I'm convinced I've been overpaid. It's not very clear as I have my zero hours job and my main job now with the same employer but they haven't separated it out well. My tax issue is sorted, that's a relief. This is also my first pay since starting in mid-August so I was expecting a bit more as it's almost 6 weeks pay but it seems too much. I've queried it with HR as don't want to owe them money! Even if there's a slight error I should be able to pay my car debt in full, a month earlier than planned, woohoo!7 -

Hugs to those in need of them.
NSD 14 today.
Grateful for:
Being offered a fixed term contract until the end of year. Paperwork needs to be sorted out. Regular shifts and I do not have to worry about trying to book shifts myself.
Someone who I used to work with, also has been offered the same shifts.

Kerry_Woman, that is great news!Today I am grateful for a good day at work, for dc getting through their day, for frozen food making for an easy tea, for dc singing me the Oompah Loompah song all the way through, for getting some more display up in my teaching room.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!6

Great news Ditty 😃
Completed the first session of a free 5 day Pilates course, 15 mins should be manageable
Dressed for summer today, bare legs, short sleeves, but by midmorning the weather changed. Thankfully I was on inside break duty, so didn't have to go outside until mid afternoon, then only for a couple of minutes!
Collected hubby's urgent medication (I'd ordered the wrong ones last week & he'd run out of the one he needed), then dropped sewing off. Spent next couple of hours chatting, then bought apples on the way home (hubby eats them instead of having a drink). Washed the dishes after tea, now feel really tired, so thinking if heading to bed with my book.
Grateful for getting hubby's prescription sorted, delivering sewing, a good day at work despite feeling coldUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!

Morning all
Still relaxing and enjoying our hols. Weather has been great apart from a couple of hours of heavy rain on Sunday afternoon. We went on a boat trip at Whitby then had a wander round Staithes. Sat on the beach reading yesterday & had chips for tea looking out at the sea. Met up with my friend's friend who lives nearby; he invited us to look through his telescope so saw the moon, Saturn and Jupiter last night!!
Have been walking lots & eating lots! i bought petrol butfFriend has been paying for everything else then i will reimburse her at the end of the week - spending every day so not claiming any NSDs. Have spotted 2 charity shops nearby so want to visit those before we leave...
Gratitudes - great weather, keeping well within holiday budget, good books to read
