NSD # 14 Nothing spent over the weekend so really pleased with that.
Didn’t get as much done as I had hoped for but had a lovely relaxing weekend so all good.
Loved the calming thoughts mothernerd but now want to make a jelly. I have a couple in the cupboard so will make one up in the morning. I tend to pour it into old jam jars so once it’s cold I can put a lid on it and leave it in the fridge for a few days and just take one out when I want it.
Today grateful for lovely chat with DDad, good coffee and relaxing with dogsThat money talks I don't deny, I heard it once, it said "Goodbye"6 -

Happy hols Deni!
Pouring with rain here, so put the radio on & set to in my bedroom. Listed 7 things on the bay of E, so a start on the big pile 😃 sorted through a box & piles of clothes. A small pile of shorts, etc to go in the shed for next summer & another pile for CS.
After dinner, I worked through a bag for life full of clothes needing repairing for a customer, can drop it off after work tomorrow.
Washed up after tea - it's a wonder there were any clean dishes left! Sorted letters for posting this week, looking forward to a soak in the bath now.
Grateful for smaller piles in my bedroom, working through the sewing pile, interest in my items for saleUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Grateful ds1 is waking a few steps.
Grateful to see ds2's uni halls and well his uni has a late start so today was just a get the key mission, next time - he better have a list, otherwise my car might not start!
We had a nice day and ended up having a nice walk and eating a lovely meal before we drove back home.
I put all of the scrabs I could find in the dishwasher, after a radio 4 piece this weekend that concluded that a dishwasher is efficient with more than 13 pieces? And that way it's a fresh start tomorrow. The jeans also got cleaner in the second wash.
I finally found my mouth guard and hopefully it will help my tooth aches and headaches (from stress).
Cant wait til Thursday evening when I'll be in my car on my way to the 'waters' district.
Busy week ahead.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

A bit more done in the garden - emptied the remaining soil from a bin, then put it where it was going and put in a few buckets of stones. All the buckets are now lined up for when it rains. All the remaining small containers (roughly 8 square and a couple of round ones) were rounded up, any viable tomatoes were taken off to ripen indoors, the plants were removed from the soil and then the tubs were refilled with a mix of old and new soil.
Three 40 l tubs which were planted up last week were moved back into the space left by the small tubs. Small tubs will have a mixture of pansies/ spring bulbs and possibly a few garlic or lettuce plants. The new seedlings are sprouting well (red cabbage, kale and broccoli will be kept sheltered until they're much stronger), lollo rosso, spinach and rocket will be put in small pots and some grown on indoors. Tried to move a 50 l tub - moved it across and managed to move it up 6 " onto 2 of the edging stones but really shouldn't have. It's going to sit inside the bin on top of the stones but it need to be as high as the top of the bin to drop it in, so will leave it until DS2 or DS1 visits.
Came in once as it was threatening rain. It did rain so I stayed in and watched more episodes of 'Vigil". Food order came a few minutes before the start of the appointed hour but I'd rounded all the bags up and emptied the trolley. A lot of tins and bottles have gone in the shed, just dealt with the fridge and freezer stuff. Made a chicken dinner with chicken cooked during the week, cooked extra veg (I had plans but only vague ones). Made a Mexican pasta thing at the same time. Mum wanted to use the extra veg for tea - she had corned beef with hers, I had the mild chilli thing and have another portion boxed up. No money spent yesterday or today. Just as well because my budgets are in disarray. Think counting mum's spending is unsustainable - it's difficult enough working out what I've paid for and what she owes me and a running list of items as they occur to both of us (need more salt for path de-icing and mum has wrecked the foot attachment for the walking stick). The hunt for a vanish bar continues - I'm now enlisting people who go to shops which are further afield.
Grateful for easy thrown together food with lots of use ups, making progress in the garden, food delivery arriving early - it was hard work as I'd just moved the 50 l pot (it's got a rose bush in it so I got 2 thorns embedded in my hand for good measure) but then I felt able to relax. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6 -

Today is NSD 10.My Sunday sweep from underspends in food and leisure was £34.68. Trying hard to keep grocery shopping to our weekly delivery and one top up, as well as use up every morsel. OH is getting better at using up food; rather than throwing away that leftover grated cheese from dinner, he’ll now tub it up and then use it in a breakfast omelette. 😁Our transport costs have been going up and we overspent last week and the week before. OH is going into the office more by train at a cost of £13 a day! I think it’s appalling that public transport costs so much in this country. It’s the same with buses. I work for a charity where even buses are too expensive for the people we help, and as a result they walk miles in all weathers to go to shops or appointments.Anyway, rant over. I’ve upped the transport budget but had to take it from our ‘house maintenance’ pot.Grateful to be privileged enough to afford public transport, to have a car, and to have a job.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸7
