My fuel tank is nearly on the red wedge too, but I was not sitting in those queues to get £15 of petrol to see me through to payday next Thursday!! Hopefully they will all have filled up and gone away ( a la Gavin Williamson) by the time I get the 'fuel squeak'.

NSD#12? I think!
Continuing with the 5 free days of online Pilates classes, quite enjoying them. Work has been up & down this week, but today the one in charge experienced some of what we have to deal with & I think it shook her up a lot. Something might be done about it now. Me & a colleague went for a walk after work, along a new route, had a great view over the harbour.
Went to the cinema last night with my mum. I'd won free tickets in lock down, I made us some lime & lemonade in a bottle each, took some sweets, mum had made sandwiches & brought some crisps, so a free trip out 😃 picked up a few bits in the supermarkets after. Vexed this morning as I didn't use my £10 L1DL voucher, as thought I'd save it for tomorrow's shop, only to find today, that it'd run out!!
DS2's birthday today, he didn't want a cake as currently not eating sugar, but I made a two tiered sponge for the rest of us. Can't have a birthday without cake!!
Grateful for fun with mum last night, DS liking his presents, time with 2 special colleaguesUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

So mum's latest idea is to have 3 rose bushes where the rockery is (next to the path outside the gate). That would be the rockery that was only done last year and the roses -
- I was told I shouldn't have touched them (they would have been in the middle of a line of raised beds)
- that I might as well chuck them in the bin as I had killed them
- are her roses again now that the pruning and feeding that I did has made them better than ever.
Wasn't well yesterday afternoon so only started after 6 pm but moved two trolley loads of large stones to behind the shed (on a table as I'm not going to get them off the floor) and filled 8 buckets with soil (dug out slowly from the roots of the shrubs mum insisted be cut back). Was trying for 9 buckets but gave in (was having to use my little led storm lantern to see anything at all).
Out early this morning to tidy all the bits I'd left. Did intend doing some cooking but the kitchen was occupied (mum made a pie - only took her 6 hours), so back outside to dig, pull out roots and then the next bit. Stopped for a late lunch after showing mum where the rambling rose was going and why (limited by clay patches, an extremely large rock/ piece of concrete which I'm not digging out and 2 bricks - both left in). From 2 pm until 20 past 4 I put in the first rose bush, dug out more soil and roots to make space for the second. Watched 10 minutes of Tipping Point but went out again in the advert break and only came back in when The Chase was on. Watched the last 20 minutes of that then went outside again. Ate, had a short rest, then went back. Finally got the third rose in just before 9 pm.
I hurt and had dirt everywhere. Had a long slow gentle wash and have slathered cream onto my poor hands and feet. May need a second layer.
Grateful for easy food, getting stuff done, finding mum's rollers and hairspray fairly quickly - cinema club restarts tomorrow so she's got to do her hair. It's the last day of our hols, been lovely to explore new areas, done lots of walking, had a nice meal out and my share of all our costs was £72 which i think is a bargain for a week's holidayFeel ready to go home now though so will enjoy being back in my own home and my own bed.
Gratitudes - great weather for our holiday, DDs looking after the house and cats between them, finding a new place to enjoy and hope to visit again

Hi Won't even pretend I am caught up with reading, but here I am, visiting friends in a North Lakedistrict house, looking at a mountain, have accepted my new job, 2 months late, have written my resignation letter to other job, will serve it up on Monday or Wednesday when I have heard back from new job.
Friends is the best, can't wait to have 6 more hours in my week, and I will be closer to home for when ds1 probably comes home, so am basically just grateful for everything today.
(I even managed a NSD day on Wednesday, and a LSD day yesterday)
Necessary as am pretty much out of funds. But should have £££ ticking eventually.
Today is resting and a bit of business stuff and tomorrow maybe a longer walk :-)Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Sounds as things are looking up for you ditty1234.Had a really fun night out last night, no spends as dd1 bought drinks. Painted another fence panel before going out, so looked 50 shades of grey going out hard to get off.Had the tinest of spends today 3 bags of ys veg 60p plus got some cereals for kids over weekend.Probably need milk tomorrow however I have given up on NSD's this month.Looking forward to a night in, feet up and a wee wine later. First I have to paint another fence panel, its a slow process as so old and rough takes ages to paint them, plus need to take solar lights off first and cover up bushes infront of it.Lovely warm weather here today was going to walk back along beach but saw helicopter landing down there.Think I will be let go in January 2022 was bit nosey at some paperwork on bosses desk this morning. Hopefully find some sort of job by then.Tackling my cc today which with no shops taking cash and booking concerts into next year leaped up a bit but hopeful clear by next month.Savings now at £19300 still on the way up but at a slower pace.Think I should have watered friends garden, hope she's not back until tomorrow, race over on the way home. ditty sounds like you will be able to recharge your batteries, hope you have a lovely time
I got home at 4pm, had a long journey due to bad traffic but made it eventually and didn't need to join massive queues for petrol to get me hereHope i can get some by Monday else i won't make it into work! Had a lovely time without spending a fortune and had put money to one side anyway so was in budget.
Have done one load of washing and had a bath. Good to be in my own home and with my cats. Off to my book group this evening and then an early night
Gratitudes - my peaceful home; friends; good company this eve so still feeling chilled
