Hi I am here to confess I am a bad person - I was going to use fuel shortage as an excuse for not going to work tomorrow as gauge was on 000, but then I called a local petrol station, and turned out they had more diesel, so I went over there. By the time I left there was a queue down the bypass!!! Just in time shopping.
Had a lovely weekend away and am now (not) ready for the week ahead.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

NSD#13, does it count if hubby bought himself a drink & sweets from the shop whilst on his walk?
I didn't join him today, as a customer was dropping some things off & I had sewing to do. Moved the remaining cut up firewood from the garage to the wood store (DS3 started, came in after 30mins saying he wasn't motivated to do it, I made him do another half an hour), then painted a long side of the garage, including trellis. Finished my book, then phoned my brother after doing the dishes. DS2 cut the grass, though it was nearly dark when he'd finished, so not sure what it'll look like in daylight!!
Grateful for son's doing jobs, a friend telling me that she thinks I'm an amazing woman 🥰, another dry day so I could paintUse it up, wear it out

Sneaks in, hopes no one notices. It has been a rough month. I have ten pound in one account, a fiver in another. And an 80 quid CC bill.
Sending love to everyone. Sorry I haven't been here. Work is horrendous. Mum isn't great but slightly better, I am too sleepy now today.
XXX
Nevertheless she persisted.7 -

Thanks Mothernerd, great advice from fellow turtles, loved 'get your life jacket on first'. Look after yourself, so easily things can get on top of you.Well usual non posting at weekend.Spent saturday, garden centre few plants and lunch out. Not too expensive either. Rest of day spent chilling in garden with both dd's and granddaughter, craft time. Followed by painting fence evening!Sunday a day of fence painting, emptying garden pots of summer plants and clear decks ready for great rain and wind forecast. Felt so shattered last night in bed by 9pm. That's 2 episodes of Vigil to watch tonight now. NSD though!Grateful forDecided to panic buy mince pies at lunchtime both bosses love me. NSD 14.
It’s been a wet, dry, wet, dry day. Mum and I decided to get our waterproofs on and head to the forest with DS. It was an hour’s drive each way. We walked around the forest and followed the fairy trail for about 2 hours. We then had our picnic in the car. Our picnic was a mishmash of whatever we found in our fridges/cupboards, including the banana bread I made yesterday. Came back to Mum’s late afternoon and she made us dinner 😁Grateful for a day outdoors, Mum making dinner, and a video chat with OH (miss him but I am enjoying being able to starfish in bed) 😂NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸5 -
@ldee2111 that sounds like a lovely day!
NSD today, trying not to dip into October's budget until 1st. I think boredom is making me want to spend, spoke to my manager today and more work is definitely coming this week so I should have stuff to do.
Hoping the petrol stuff evens itself out soon, I had plans to visit my parents this weekend but need petrol to do so. If not I'm sure I can get up there in a couple of weeks. It's not as urgent as people who need petrol for work but can't find any. Sometimes I really do despair at our selfishness.7 -
evening all
Back to work today. Seemed to have about 50 emails on the same subject - request that we organise a meeting date in October - then the last email on the subject was from the requester saying that actually the meeting would have to wait till November !! Had a nice chat with colleague and quick chat with boss; having proper face to face meeting with both tomorrow. Managed to get petrol at third place i tried; didn't fill up tank but put in enough to get me to work twice and a bit spare. Agree at selfishness lcc
Didn't manage an NSD as plumber was here to check water tank in the loft as overflow pipe was dripping; he has hopefully sorted it. Also paid for exercise classes on Fb for the week.
Did some of my PT job this eve but couldn't do any of PT job #2 as couldn't get on the emails! Having z00m call with previous role holder on Thursday and my list of queries and quibbles is getting longer (point 1 - when will i get paid?!)
Did exercise class this eve which was great.
Gratitudes - surviving Monday and first day back at work; B Ga$ man for not even attempting to sell me a new boiler on the grounds that if it is still working then leave well alone!; sunshine at lunchtime so could get out for a walk
Love Deni
