New Nationwide Switch - both new and existing?

I know of someone who did two sole to sole switches. One to a FlexAccount, the other one to a FlexDirect, both accounts held for many years. Two times £125 paid, I was told.3

Nationwide now saying they can't switch from Tesco due to Tesco not allowing it even though there is enough working days0

CASS switches from Tesco needed to be initiated by Monday 15th:jd84 said:Nationwide now saying they can't switch from Tesco due to Tesco not allowing it even though there is enough working days

If you want to move to a new bank account, it’s now too late to request an automatic switch using the Current Account Switch Service. Instead, you’ll need to move or set up any regular payments with a new bank yourself.

Do I need to keep DD now incentive has been paid out ???0

What does the terms say about needing to keep DDs going? IIRC link on page 3 of this thread..what7 said:Do I need to keep DD now incentive has been paid out ???1 -
Do Nationwide set up Standing Orders and Direct Debits separately from your donor account? The SOs have appeared but not the DDs.
Edit - It seems they do, the DDs have now appeared.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Hi all,
I opened an account with Nationwide 17 days ago. I set up two DDs and wanted to do the full switch online. I have got the following message: "We're sorry but you cannot use the online switch service to transfer payments from your FlexAccount. Please contact your local branch who will be able to carry out your request."
What did I do wrong?
Thanks.0 -
Normally I'd just say read the terms , but from your other posts I'd guess English may not be your first language, so you get some slack...mitbrille said:Hi all,

You didn't understand the terms:
"You need to switch from another bank or building society. And it's only available for a limited time. Make sure you read the full terms and conditions of this offer."2 -

Despite that, I can still understand what is recommended on Moneysavingexpert: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/compare-best-bank-accounts/
I quote, "How you switch depends on whether you're a Nationwide member – you're a member if you've an existing Nationwide current account, mortgage or savings account.Got an existing FlexAccount, FlexDirect or FlexPlus?
- Switch by selecting 'Switch to Nationwide' in online banking."

You only ever get a switch bonus if you switch from a different bank / group of banks. In other words, you need to switch a non-Nationwide current account if you want to receive a switch bonus.mitbrille said:

If you are a qualifying member before requesting the switch, you will get £125.
If you are not, you will only get £100.
Easy enough to be a qualifying member before you request a switch.
