  • Maybe leasing a car would be a more suitable answer for now, at least you could pick a package that gives you mechanical support and maybe even insurance.

I'd second he power pack, even with a new phone, we have several, they hold a charge for months if not used.  We keep one in the car, one at the allotment, one always goes in my handbag when we're out for the day too.  I've had that phone battery go from 70% to dead in minutes before when my phone was old.  Just make sure you've got a compatible cable for your phone too.

Hope your. Um is ok and you can have a quiet weekend to recover from your lack of sleep.
  • Mum is currently engrossed in Question of Sport. She seems ok, the doctor said to look out for signs of bleeding and bruising. I am not planning on going out tomorrow aside from bread and buying a nice lunch. I want to try and make bread pudding..... not that takes all day...

I shall definitely get a power pack, I didn't know if they really worked, my friend had one for her old iphone and she thought it was pointless. That was a few years ago tho.

It has taken me ages to type this cos the dogs need a lot of wees tonight and then dinner and clear up! We are now watching Godzilla V King Kong..

Rosa - I get what you mean about the money, but I want to give myself the option of having something a bit nicer, a bit more environmentally friendly and that I can rely on. I am sick and tired of worrying about the car and especially at this time of year being cold in it and the windows never clearing.

I have forgotten what else I was going to type - have to explain last night to my other sister. TOO complicated for my tired brain.

    Nevertheless she persisted.

    That all makes sense.
@Jellytots has a point about leasing, too.

Glad your mum is doing ok and hope you get a peaceful weekend.

Yeah I might have a look but am keen to have the flexibility and ease of a loan. I can over pay, no charge the Hally fax one so could make a plan to over pay. My mechanic is very good and a family friend and has never let me down, so I sort of have that!

If any one has any car recommendations I know nothing except I like VWs and don't like Peugeots.

You can get quite long warranties on some cars now so hopefully that should help.
  • I have just watched a very sad programme. The Murder of Molly Mclaren.  Awful evil in the world but to follow what happened to her was just terrible. Brutal.

And turn your bloody location services OFF!

    Poor girl.

I've had two Hondas and loved them, so does everyone I know who's had one.  Now a Nissan, which I originally only picked because I couldn't find a replacement Honda, but I do really like it - it's got more passenger space and less boot, but that suits my current needs.

I need a decent boot, enough space for pet carriers x3 and the dogs and Mum.  I really want to have a good digital radio too ooo and heated windscreen................tee hee.

Am watching Stacey Solomon on her Clean your house programme, I do love her, she is the polar opposite of me in terms of things like nails and hair and whatever but I think she seems so lovely and just knows what to say to people when they are trying to get rid of stuff, and what she and her team have done to this house is amazing.

There is a lot to do today.... Ugh.

    Nevertheless she persisted.
