  • Teachers are always expected to set cover(and it would seem answer e mails!), regardless of how ill you are,

Your school may think that, I doubt the union or a lawyer would agree.

Please don't risk your long term health.  You need to be well to make things truly better when this is over.

Today I am happy to say that all the animals have been cleaned out and I feel less like a neglectful owner. I have apart from when cleaning out animals spent the day in my room, resting. I have come downstairs, the house is nearly 25 degrees and I am sweating. All normal jobs have been resumed, think Mum is very relieved I am back.

I had a nap, but am pretty pleased with the day.

    House savings stand at 13138.

Not too shabby. No where near enough to buy anywhere but a decent cushion. And by Jan it will be 13638.

and then Feb 14,138. I know I am getting ahead of myself! I need to save more quickly to get enough. It will take a year to save enough to get to 20000. I need to think of how to save more.

  • I am quite worried about Mum, she is ill and so tired. She no longer wants me to do her pills and got quite angry about it. I don't know. I need to move the rabbit out this weekend and sort the charity shop stuff and fish tank next weekend. I don't know what I can do to help her. Tea in bed tomorrow, figure out lunch and dinner. Might try and walk round to the shop and buy nice bread at least.

I am going to get some salted peanuts and find something to watch. Newsnight is breaking my heart. The system is horrendous and is failing children. And that is it.

  • Well Mum has tested positive. Came down and made her tea as would normally on a Saturday, so hot I could barely breathe, turned the heating right down, having a glass of water!

I am so unhappy. Mum testing positive is just horrendous. All kinds of risks, so vulnerable. Such a horrible feeling to know I have brought this into the house. The guilt is crushing. That added to the feeling, or rather the knowledge that I shouldn't be here is awful. I have made such a mess of my life. It is so sad, all such a waste.

Any how, I have a tonne of cleaning to do. Onwards and upwards.

    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Hope you’re both ok. Anyone could have brought it in so please don’t just put all the pressure on yourself.

    Take care Buffy x

  • Buffy don't beat your self up.

You are  not and cannot be a hermit, you had to go out into the big wide world and unfortunately that always meant there was a risk you would bring the infection home.
