The next bit to tackle is the bit round the summer house, and the pond. The rest of it a gardener can fix.
Tomorrow I am going to the tip and putting the tiny insane rabbit in a cage which makes me feel very guilty but she is going to have her op on Monday so it is only for one night, till she is back on Tuesday, when she will be off her head on pain relief and won't care, Wednesday I might put up the pen.
I might do some shifting in the conservatory.
Tonight we had Chinese and it was amazing. Watching the Long Call, sort of good I think. I am not bored and it isn't obvious - as in what is going on.

Any accomplishment where you can see progress makes you feel proud and you should do too.

It is raining like the end of the world here. I am listening to a woman (from the Marshall Islands Government I think) talking about the Marshall Islands, who are a bit buggered and really might disappear completely... This climate change thing is really getting frightening. I really do feel we are in trouble that we cannot fix. I just think capitalism and being environmentally friendly doesn't work.
So dark and rainy, it is weird, I feel ok, I just don't want to think about anything big, like pensions or houses, or !!!!!! head or my special friend or Mum (who is amazing on the steroids, she made me a cup of tea yesterday, I nearly cried)
I can only focus on what I can do today, I just want to be content and not go to work tomorrow lol. Going to go and write a list. and hoover.Nevertheless she persisted.3 -

Well done on your accomplishments in the garden. Nettles and brambles are hard to clear especially with their root systems, so a huge well done for having a space you can enjoy🙂.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

thanks Honeysuckle xxx
I have hoovered and done breakfast, am going to load the dishwasher and re run it as things aren't clean. Need to put washing away.
Then since it seems to have stopped raining I will go outside... gather more stuff for the tip. I wish I could have a day doing nothing SA but I have had too many of them this summer and things must change. They MUST change.

I have been to the tip TWICE! The very back of the garden is fully clear of all the rubbish! This really makes me happy. IT has been some thing that has bothered me for years and although I have cleared it before it is now possible to lay membrane and cover it in bark and actually make it look nice. I have used it before but always left bits of it due to time or other commitments. I always believe this house is manageable if you just get things organised.
That means there is
1. The bit round the summer house needs clearing (mostly grass/weeds)
2. The bit nearest the house needs tidying up
3. The pond needs some help but that might be a spring situation.
4. Need a gardener for the rest of it. (Grass, bushes, path)
And really that is all highly doable.
I will still need to go to the tip a lot as there are 3 sheds to clear - tho mine is mostly done and the "side" one will be straightforward as most of it is either rubbish or taking one example a boxed up hutch I never put together.... and a couple of stools I kept to use for the rabbits.... You get the idea...
My new mantra is things must change. And they will.

The thing I've been learning Buffy (it came up on Cheery's thread) is that I do ONE job, clear up properly after it and then keep it that way. THEN move on to the next bit. That way I see the progress rather than the chaos spreading. If I were you I'd concentrate on tip runs until all the stuff is gone. After that, pick a job, work out how to break it down into manageable chunks that include clearing up as you go along and working out where the logical places are to stop.
Is the hutch you never put together useable, or should you ebay/FB marketplace/freegle it to get it out of the way?
You may not be able to change EVERYTHING. But you can change the things that you have control over.6 -
That’s brilliant that you got all that done. XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Yes I must say I did go out and just look at the back of the garden just to see what I had done, I love that bit of clearing and reorganising. Mostly what happens is I start some thing and there is some kind of emergency or something must be done and it gets left for a weekend.
I will have to use the hutch, my pair have chewed the crap out of the pets at home one I have.....
