Yes I must say I did go out and just look at the back of the garden just to see what I had done, I love that bit of clearing and reorganising. Mostly what happens is I start some thing and there is some kind of emergency  or something must be done and it gets left for a weekend.

I will have to use the hutch, my pair have chewed the crap out of the pets at home one I have.....

This is why I now break my jobs into smaller component parts, and make sure that I organise them so that I know the stages they can be left at. It seems to be making a difference. I changed a pair of door handles the recently and split it down:

    locate tools/new handles
    drink coffee
remove old handles (this took a while and involved you tube to work it out)
put old handles back together, photograph for freegle and put away
    have lunch
    clean door
work out how to put new handles on (also involved you tube)
order special tool online to change spring in handle that’s the wrong way round
    put tools away
three days later… new tool arrives
    reverse spring in handle
    work
after work get rest of tools out
    change handles
tidy up and put tools away properly
admire door handles at regular intervals
when it’s definitely all ok, put old handles up on freegle

so it took a while, but could be left at any stage without making me feel it was getting worse before it got better. I think I’m finally getting the hang of how granular I need to make my task lists.

I guess it’s handy to have the spare hutch then! It’s ready for when you need it.

I like that idea Greenbee - I tend to find I start one job, get distracted and start another which can create a look that is more chaotic than I started with! Will have to take your idea on board...thanks!

Fantastic job on the tip visits and clearance Buffy🙂.

  • OH MY GOD I AM SO SO TIRED.

I had a bad feeling about today, mum dropped a glass..... then I found out a teacher had quit (leaving us in the !!!!!!) , then I got an email explaining that I have to justify part of my pay. Which I won't be able to do and thus I will lose it.

And I feel like I have fleas.

BUT MUM HAS COOKED DINNER. A steroid related MIRACLE.

    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • I thought pay was protected for three years if they decide they want to change it? Can you ask anyone about that just in case it is protected? X
