Try to do ONE thing that will make your life easier today Buffy - whether that's taking one load of rubbish to the tip (and stopping off for a coffee somewhere nice with a book - or getting a takeaway coffee and going to sit somewhere with a view... I don't care if it isn't technically on the way/way back), or running the hoover round the areas that are already clear.
I've found that since I've started doing yoga on Saturday afternoons (LC therapy study), I've got into the habit of tidying/cleaning in preparation. Each week I manage to maintain the area I've already done and get a tiny bit further. I did a deep clean of the utility room a while back as it was bugging me (not done properly since the kitchen was fitted, so everything was full of dust) which took an entire weekend - but the reorganisation led to improvements in the kitchen. Then when yoga started I had to sort out the sitting room - but they wanted me to have access to a table, so I added the dining room. Once that was done and manageable I added the hall which is now clear and uncluttered. I've also done most of the downstairs loo - I put some window film I've had for months on last week (but have noticed I need to dust the picture frames this week). I'm getting rid of a certain amount of stuff on freegle, but I might brave a CS trip at some point. And maybe get a skip as there are a couple of doors to go (unless I can get them cut up small enough to burn!).
Can you get a friend to help you with the garden? I quite often find that visitors are happy to do something rather than sit around drinking tea/coffee. My mum visited this week and between us we've managed to fill all the garden waste bins/bags in three days. It'll take me months to get rid of it all via the collection, but it has taken a huge amount of pressure off.6 -
I felt so awful that after I sorted mum/kitchen/animals I went to bed. I just feel ill and so have wasted the day. I am honestly not sure if I am ill or if the house is so warm it makes me feel rotten - the living room is 23 degrees but it is normally 25. Stifling for me.
My friend is looking to sell her flat - on the outskirts of London. And my other friend sent her link for a house that is 675,000. Which given that she earns twice as much as me and has a flat she can afford.
I could honestly weep for what an idiot I have been.
Moving on, I need to do my walk. It is bugging me that I don't have all the pet supplies I need. Tho I think I need to let that go. Might go to Sainsbury's and do my walk in the high street....Might be sus with local brats and fireworks.

23-25 is HOT! But if your mum doesn't move much, she probably feels the cold. Can you keep your bedroom a bit cooler? Definitely open a window at night, otherwise you'll be waking up feeling like you a hangover every day. It might also be worth putting small bowls of water under the radiators to keep the humidity level up so neither of you dehydrate!
It sounds as if you need to spend your weekends doing outdoor jobs in order to avoid being in the house too much with that heat.5 -
I am thinking about next year. And my plans.
This year I have managed to keep up French everyday and my 30 active minutes. I missed one day but that was day my best friend told me her lovely Mother was dying. The French - I do use streak freezes but I still do the same amount of points each day - when Mum was really ill I would miss doing it till after 12am but would do the lesson anyway to keep my points up.
I have saved 500 pounds a month in the house accounts and do put aside 500 for emergencies of which there have been a lot with the rabbits.
I have 12000 for the house and 1000 for emergencies.
I will keep to that level of monthly savings, but once the emergency fund is at 2000 I will pay the "surplus" in to the house account (non Isa)
I save 25 quid in a NS and A account, I will keep that up.
I am doing the sealed pot challenge on here too.
Plans for 2022 so far
1. Save a penny a day (in reverse) Just to see if I can do it.
2. Pursue minimalism in a more serious way.
3. Sell carBuy different car.
4. Look for ways to make more money.
unfortunately the fireworks have started and I have a very persist dog under my arm so I have to go xx

*Fuming*
Mum - ooo we can have a lay in tomorrow.
Me - that will be nice
Today - 8am, mum already in the shower, She was cold apparently, so I had to be up to do pills etc. No time to myself, couldn't hoover, lost the will to live and went and cleaned out the rabbits. Was a little afraid they wouldn't alive after last night's fireworks, but they were thankfully.
Am now stuck waiting for her to decide to have breakfast.
Am dreading going away in a couple of weeks. I am doing it because it is time my sisters understood how much she cannot do. And it is time she got it too.
Ah finally decided she wants breakfast.
But it is ok you understand, she doesn't need me........... nope. not at all. Apparently I just like to make a fuss.
* head explodes in pure frustration*
