It's not like most self help books - it's confirming why the dating ones are such utter nonsense and I am so relieved to find I'm not only person wondering how this misogynistic, manipulative bull**** perpetuates! Anyway, no need if you don't want to, just thought it might amuse you.

I never did the online dating thing but I did meet a rather nice man in a chat room (I loved chat rooms for the human connection when I was lonely)...neither of us were looking for anything other than conversation and a laugh in the chat room. I had just come out of a crappy marriage and wanted some entertainment and conversation in the evening when the kids had gone to bed, he'd just come out of a relationship with a psychopathic deranged female and just wanted to talk to normal people. I think the key to us getting on so well was that we were categorically not looking for a relationship. We met a few weeks after we started chatting, complete blind date, had absolutely no idea what each other looked like but had spoken on the phone a few times. And that was that. Been married for 20 years now.
I've witnessed our youngest daughters journey through the dating app game and it's so brutal, it's not about dating, it's just about hooking up with no questions asked...when did conversation go out of fashion?
As for allergies and pets, I'm afraid my feelings are very blunt, it's an animal, give it to someone else who doesn't have allergies. Doing your best for an animal isn't always keeping it. I adore my pets but if they needed to go to save myself from illness then they'd go.

My Internet is on the blink so this might not work!
This is on top of the failed freezer and dishwasher packing up! Repairman coming on Tuesday.
I finished work early yesterday, my boss told us all we shut at 2 and as I left I heard the caretakers laughing as he basically got us to leave and that meant they could pack up early. He is a good boss.
Last night was lovely, mainly as getting out of work early gave me time to go on a nice work near the forest which was far nicer than my normal Friday on the high street.
Today I have woken up feeling a bit ropey. Washing is on, animals been seen to (!) Going to have breakfast, might have a fried egg sandwich. Might have toast.Nevertheless she persisted.4 -
Fried egg sandwich is my favourite pick me up food!2

I went to a party tonight and had a FABULOUS time.
I was a bit worried at first as it was full of children but then I got to drink and dance and it was so much fun. I love dancing. LOVE IT. I am not good and was super drunk. But it was great.
Tomorrow I am in the garden.
Post hang over. Which shouldn't be too bad. As am drinking a pint of water whilst watching Heartland. I love Heart land.Nevertheless she persisted.3 -
So pleased to read you’ve had a great night out. Hope your head’s not too sore this morning xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
