  • Absolutely agree Buffy.  When you are the only production capacity, your welfare is the priority.  Much better to take the occasional day than to end up off for months with burnout.

I had to actually say this out loud to someone recently who disapproved of me shutting the cat out of the bedroom at night.  I need decent sleep, and even the animals need me to have it too, because I cannot care for them well or even work to buy their food if I'm not right myself.
This was the argument I had with people on a rabbit group - get out more you say! But this woman was allergic to her rabbit and because it is coming up to winter she was worried about moving it outside, she asked for advice about how to keep her warm and a couple of posters kept telling her to keep the rabbit inside till the spring, and I pointed out it was unfair since she couldn't breath! And they thought nothing of telling her she should be prepared to do what was best for the rabbit and she should suffer since it wasn't the rabbit's fault.... It is crazy how some people think. The rabbit made her quite seriously ill!!

I had a nice nap, came downstairs to mum who only had cereal to eat. hey ho. I shall go for a walk in a bit and buy bread. Dogs are at the vets later.

  • Gave me sometime to think about !!!!!!. He wanted to remain friends but I never do that, I tried, with him as I had hope he had feelings for me but hope isn't enough after everything. Sent him a message to ask him not to bother. I love him and didn't work out, I just can't be around when he has a new girlfriend and a new life without me. Sorry but I can't. What is the point? He has read it and not replied but that is ok. I can't go through another lengthy conversation with him about the ins and outs of everything. There is no point, he tried to fix things but I like my self respect.

Onward. Half term is coming closer. My lovely gardener has had a heart attack :( how awful is that? He was in hospital with pneumonia at the time. That was part of what made me text !!!!!!. Life is full of surprises. Horrible ones at times. The gardener isn't much older than me, in fact might even be the same age. I just thought that life was far too short. I must move on. I must do something good and stop being stuck in the same place in my head.

Also I must find a new gardener.

    Which feels incredibly disloyal...

Vets soon, best get on. XXXX

  • In between the news from the gardener and me having an upset tummy I fell asleep and didn't make any of the phone calls I was meant to make. Am annoyed with myself, but evidently extremely tired!

Buffy Buffy Buffy!  Read this, it's awesome, true and very funny.  (I have been accidentally snorting various drinks all morning while sneaking chapters over lunch and coffee breaks.)

I think I may actually have to read that, I usually prefer trying to work out who the murderer is.  As for the too picky thing, can you be too picky about someone you are preparing to share all your worldly possessions with.  I did some of this what would now be online dating but this was so long ago it was newspaper ads.  I decided I must have MUG written over my forehead.  I only did 3.  The last was actually the best, but spent most of the time telling me how important he was (retired but very senior policeman), but then that he had met someone after our first contact but before we actually met (so a backup plan!!)  The other 2 - one out of work & one being made redundant. Do you own your own house.  Freely translated into can you keep me in the style to which I would like to become accustomed?
  • Evening.

    I went to work.
It was rough. The kids were lovely. I sat down a lot. I "taught" five lessons. It was interesting!!

I forgot to say I paid the cc bill. Mum gave me money to cover the recent shopping and takeaways. That helped A LOT. I am hanging on by a thread. Need to get petrol.

I am looking forward to things, half term, the house sorting I am going to do, finally fix stuff in the house, have some space to do things.

My special friend ;) has been nice. We met online. Aside from him and a guy I loved to bits but who turned out to be married so was a massive disaster most men I met were straight up awful. or at least awful to me! I will have a look at the book but honestly have sworn off self help type books.

I am so tired. Again. need to feed the furries and then fall into bed. I went out to the rabbits tonight. I do like them. This morning they were all friendly and are definitely calmer around the divider. Tonight it was lovely to be out there listening to the rain and watching them. Going to bond them soon. Am excited to get on with stuff. Sad about a lot of stuff that is going on. !!!!!! head, my friend's bad news, my gardener, some stuff at work. But I will keep bloody going so help me I will. Things are going to change.

  • I had one of those, well engaged and living with someone…I had no idea! Looking back I think the reason he was so amazing was because he never judged or tried to control me…and I’m sure the only reason for that was because he had no right to as he knew I wasn’t his (even though I didn’t know that at the time!).
You have lots of nice things to look forward to and things always change. Keep on keeping on x
