My son uses one as he takes 3 meds a day, so he does a week at a time.  I use one as my dosage changes alternate days & I could never remember which day I was on so I actually do 2 weeks at a time.  As they are labelled with the day you can tell instantly if they have been taken.

More tired than a tired thing. Thanks for the suggestions about the pills. I think we tried one but mum couldn't open it. I do her day time pills in a box thing, she can only just manage that.

I didn't walk the dogs tonight.. not great but honestly am dead on my feet.

    Really want chocolate. XXX

ooo have moved 7 items out of the conservatory.

My mum's meds (about 12 of them!!) come weekly from chemist in a blister pack. The individual pockets are covered by a thin film so just push it in and tip out. It was a life saver when pharmacy agreed to supply this way. It meant she could manage them herself again which she really wanted (main problem vision although she also struggled with any of the DIY boxes). I get a phone call once a month from chemist to double check on any changes and if she needs anything else so I have oversight but the workload is much reduced.

It also means its easier for someone else to step in with her care although not needed yet - I keep an up to date meds list with her emergency care plan (from social services). She lives an hour from me and I am the sole carer so we need to be prepared for if I'm out of action.
  • I'm inspired by your walking Buffy. I should be able to do 10000 steps a day but I've lost a bit of motivation with my walking which I need to find again in spite of the nights getting darker. I'm going for 10000 a day this month.
Sorry things are so tough with your mum. I hope that this comes across the way that I mean it to and not rude, but long term something has to give, and if it's you then who will look after her then? I suspect you're in a situation where you won't realise quite how much you're putting up with until you're not in the situation any more. I worry lots about you and when you get a break - you're just swapping one stress for another between work and home.
    Much love :kissing_heart:

  • Hopefully you are going to have chance to relax over the weekend x

  • Yesterday was horrendous.

I had to take bun to vets, he had a CT scan. Vets was 45 minutes away. Scary roads, roundabouts, dual carriageways, all things Buffy doesn't like. Followed by looooong country lanes, sharp rights and a car parking situation that did reduce me to tears.... I was late and so worried they wouldn't see us.

I had to go to work (late) and arrived 3 minutes before my meeting started. Had no food, don't remember much of the day and then had to leave early to pick up bun so more scary roads etc.

He was fine but very very very stressed in the car. It was horrible but I felt I needed to know more about his condition and the price wasn't as scary as I thought.

Got in, got fish and chips, did the chores, went to bed at 11 with the most awful headache. Woke up with the most awful headache.

Still washing is on, dishwasher is just finishing up and all I really have to do is go to the chemist. Aside from all the school work I must do. Thanks threat of Ofsted..

    XXXx

  • Dishwasher has finished and been emptied and filled. Realised I had made a (migraine) mistake and wrote up my year plan wrong, doesn't matter as no one is teaching that yet but do feel like a !!!!!!.

    Washing is underway.

    off to the chemist. XXX

  • Back from the chemist and made lunch, bit late ;)

Put my old glasses on so head slightly better. Also got new migraine tablets to try.

Feel really light headed. Was going to do some tidying but don't think I am up for that. I really want a nap....

Again left this page and got distracted by doing the bank thing.

I have 3920 in my little savings account and 7095 in my big savings account. I have 1000 in my emergency fund. Which given the state of my car I am going to need.
I have paid part of the bill  for the rabbit out of my spending money. I must not buy anything ever again. Until the end of the month.
