Bon marche had some nice cotton tops this year although a little on the thick side. I didn’t think I was the right age group to shop there but it turns out I am. Gas doesn’t seem to be quite as awful as electricity so maybe the bills won’t be quite as bad as you fear although horrid to have to live at 25 degrees!
oo I had forgotten about Bon Marche!

and yes I spend my evenings in vest tops and shorts! I absolutely hate the heat!

I’m not a shorts person, or a dress person, or a skirt person.

    I’m a pyjama person.

  • The Summer break hasn't started well. The dogs ate chocolate and I had to rush them to the vets. Horribly stressful. My poor puppies. I freaked out quite a bit as I couldn't find any clothes nor get through to the vets at first. Weird as at work I am fab in a crisis. Home I just feel so out of control. There are no procedures!! I mean there are but not my dogs, I love them and it would break me if anything happened to them. absolutely break me.

Spent today monitoring them really and shifting the stress headache. fixed the pond pump, moved some fish, hoovered, did some washing, napped (as I stupidly left my work alarm on!! but didn't sleep till almost two) looked after mum. House is 25 degrees again! Gave the dogs a bath as they smelt dreadful.

Can already feel myself slipping into bad holiday habits of sitting about with mum - which she loves but gets me no where.

I am so tired, boring I know! Bed early hopefully. Debating whether or not to sleep down here with the dogs. Will see.

    Tip tomorrow

    Already been once!

  • After a day spent staring intently at the dogs all seems to be well. They were excited to see me this morning as normal. SO relieved I can't even explain in words.

Lots of housework and gardening today plus the tip and buying bread. There is a list in a notepad somewhere.
