  • I had a lovely day yesterday. Went out with a mate and did some shopping and some drinking. It was so good to just be me for a bit.

    Back to reality today tho.

I am getting stressed about the funeral - I need to drive and it is a big drive and the funeral is in the morning!? So it is an early start on a hot day. With Mum. I will get through it right?

I also need to sort the flowers. Can't believe I have left it to the last minute. Idiot. And need to clean the car out. and get it cleaned.

Already ten, need to put the fan on for the rabbits.

Hope the funeral goes ok xx
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

  • Felt better once I ordered the flowers. Car is being cleaned tomorrow, I went to the tip today with some garden stuff. I bought a mini chainsaw! (big river to the rescue!) it is amazing and is SO much quicker than the garden clippy things. I actually felt like the garden was doable today. The clear up will kill me! but it is possible. I cooked a roast and since about 9 have been watching tv.

I need to get petrol tomorrow. And dye my hair.
Just want it to be Wednesday. X

  • Well, the funeral is done with. It was all a bit stressful, especially the driving. I got there ok but on the journey home it got a bit much and I turned off the "big" road and drove back past my friend's house which is longer but all just little roads. Came in and had something to eat, Mum had a lie down and I had a sort of nap. Have put make up on for the first time in a week and my skin feels weird. I wish my cousins weren't so far away they seem like good people and my aunt isn't doing so well. One of my cousins realised what I was doing in terms of mum and she explained she had looked after her Dad, I really felt she understood what I was doing - like really just got it without any judgement.

Anyhow, did my banking. I really must remember that August = vets, everyone needs to go and it is expensive. Dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs. Smallest bun - the only one who can work out how to use an ice pod bless her needs vaccinations. I will do it in 3 trips. I have the money but I should have saved for it like I did pre covid.

I am going to wash my face and think about dinner. We have bacon to use up. I might be cheeky and make something like bacon eggs and chips!! Easy.....

That’s not cheeky, that’s practical and very resourceful.
Perhaps you could connect with the cousin more often? If they understand then it could help.

I hope the funeral went as well as these things can do.
