Buffythedebtslayer said:Teaching is great, the actual pure class room thing is brilliant. Schools are horrible places to work. The pressure, the paperwork, the constant scrutiny. When a school is due ofsted Monday and Tuesday are the worst, given things to do, prove this prove that by yesterday, spot checks, meetings, more checks, more documents. You struggle through Wednesday aware of the amount you have to do
and are exhausted by Thursday and then Friday when there hasn't been a phone call you briefly relax, collapse into the weekend to prepare to do it all again the next week.
And I know that in the real world there is pressure in work and I don't expect work to be stress free at all. I just think it is unreasonable. But maybe the world is unreasonable!2 -
Yep the world is unreasonable. Capitalism is a git.
Today was productive. I am very tired. Went to the tip 3 times, have cleared the side entrance. Well burglars would still fall over the lawnmower and there is a precarious stack of hay, but it is a lot better!
Guinea pigs were also cleaned out as were a few "sections" of the kitchen. and the rabbits. I found some edging for the front garden and can't believe how 1. I have got rid of so much, 2. I nearly bought the EXACT edging the other week.
In a similar vein I have been trying to solve small problems like where I put my tea and my washing and my shoes. I really want to get into the shed but I have lost the bloody key. Seriously annoying. Quite a few things in there could go or be re purposed.
I moved a bookcase to hide it in the summer house. Almost killed myself - there are a lot of weeds by the summer house, it is the most neglected part of the garden and one of the vines got caught around my ankle, it was a scary moment!
Now don't all kill me but my friend's brother has a single boy rabbit who is now alone after his cage mate dying. He does belong to a child who might not want to give him up but the Dad isn't keen on keeping him. She is going to ask what the kid thinks. It might be difficult to get him to me but small bun being alone is really distressing and it needs sorting. She has a terrible life. He is already neutered and vaccinated. It seemed like fate.
I am glad I made progress today.

I FOUND THE SHED KEY!
Am so relieved. Means I can sell the big fish tank, set up the smaller to me but bigger to them fish tank and stand. This means a TV go in the conservatory and I can set netflix up in there. Will be nice for either of us to sit in there. Watch the birds etc. as well the TV! and I can make a dedicated area (!) for the house plants - tragic I know! but I have got in to them! Could be my hobby area - Mum could have the spare room for her hobbies (card making when fingers allow) also she likes to look out the window etc, if I can organise it.
Today was my long day, am shattered, but got paid which is handy. Paid the CC and hopefully will be able to make an overpayment to the loan. I ordered some more clothes from Shein - a risk, possibly morally compromising but handy for work.
I have work to do so best get on that.

Work is still hard but it has meant the team are pulling together more, which is good. I was so tired today tho I came home and fell asleep. I am in a better routine re work as well and so not so strung out. Still need better food. By this point in any term I hate all lunch foods!
I have a busy weekend haircut followed by cocktails and then a walk with a friend on Sunday. I am trying one weekend in the house and one out at the moment. All about balance right!Nevertheless she persisted.3
