Personally I would say go for it & get the best you can.  Be careful who you tell because a lot of people disapprove of going outside the NHS.  In a way I do too, but having watched a family member go from screaming in agony & barely able to cross the room on a 2 to 6 year waiting list, to operated on within a month of diagnosis, I'm not going to knock it.  But look into who you are seeing, just because they are private doesn't mean they are good.

Yeah I have some "political" reservations. But I hate my GP surgery.

pay for the private appointment for a chat that isn’t rushed, I can’t think of money better spent,my dad is doing the same as hasn’t felt quite right all year but can’t get anywhere with Nhs,he just says he knows his body and knows something is up,he never goes to the doctor so he definitely isn’t right x

Lloyd last pharmacy have an online dr thing that you can pay monthly for. They can refer you as well if they feel it necessary. They also do a one off price.

I’m not sure how good it is as I’ve never used it and don’t know anybody else who has either.

I’m not dismissing your concerns but on 5-6 hours sleep a night I would be a walking zombie. 7-8 with a bit more at the weekend seems more reasonable.

I have asked real life friends and they also think this might be the problem. I am a state sometimes. Can't remember things.

Also forgot to say one of the rabbits has snuffles :( and arthritis. Guinea pig - her nose didn't bleed again. Have bought softer hay in case.

    Nevertheless she persisted.

Have a look at perimenopause symptoms, sleep issues and forgetting stuff are part and parcel of it. Once I'd had a read up I could spot that the symptoms all started in my early 40s but I know it can differ greatly by person.

I'd stick with the nhs for now as the first thing to do is get bloods done to see if you're lacking anything.  Once that's done you could look to go private if your not getting any answers maybe.

My mum had her menopause at 42, I wasn’t much older. Fortunately both of us were fairly symptom free. Definitely worth considering that you could be in peri-menopause. Or you could be stressed/depressed/overwhelmed- you have a lot on your plate. Big hugs xx
