If they are tricky I scratch the surface a few times with a sharp knife, soak in the sink for half an hour in hot water then when the label is soft scrape them with a butter knife

    Debt-free and Proud!
We got the keys to our new rental yesterday and Ive noticed that in one of the smaller rooms the preivous tennants children have put stickers on the window and on the white wooden bedroom door.

Ive tried to remove them but its leaving a very strone gluey mess behind.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how i can remove this as it looks really messy

    Many thanks

On the window you can use white spirit.

Not sure about the door. :undecided

But I'm sure vinegar will be mentioned. :D

I think I've read somewhere that you can use WD40 to remove the goo. I would test it on a small area first, windows should be ok but I'd definitely do a patch test first on the door (if it's glossed though you should be ok).
