Morning all, a bit grey again this morning.  Is summer over now?  Still at least it's still warm and dry.

Glad you had a good time @Mrs_Ryan at the NTAs and well done on getting straight back on plan on Friday.  Enjoy your holiday.  Certainly sounds like a busy time coming up.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up with sausages - sausages, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans - P; S; F; 2
L - meeting a friend so no idea as don't know where we're going to eat but will do my best!
    D - stuffed chicken breast wrapped in bacon; potatoes; green veg - HEA2; P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
Syns - sausages 2; probably some at lunchtime as well

    Have a good day everyone.

Just read on another thread on here that FarmFoods have 12 tins of tuna in spring water for £7!  Sounds a good deal to me and might be worth checking out if you have one near you.  No idea what size tins they are though.  Wish I had FarmFoods near me because I'd definitely be checking it out!

  • STS today - disappointed but not surprised. Had a couple of unplanned meals out although I tried to make good choices. Hoping for a better week and a fully on-plan week.

    Today’s meals:

    B - weetabix & milk
L - picky lunch (salad, cheese, etc)
    D - kedgeree risotto

    B x

STS is a good result with having a couple of meals out @Betharooni!  Good luck for the coming week.

@Suffolksue - sounds like a win to me with just 0.5lb on with an Indian and a wine evening!  Good luck to you too for the coming week.

@Betharooni - what the difference between a kedgeree and a kedgeree risotto?  Is it just a case of using difference rice?  I use basmati for everything except rice pudding and risotto!  Although occasionally I'll use a mix of wild and long grain but not very often as it's not very MSE, ie expensive!

We ended up in Weatherspoons for lunch as there really isn't much choice in my nearest big town - most places are more greasy spoon type places or there's an all you can eat Asian!  I ended up using 10.5 syns for lunch!  Had a wrap with chicken, sweet chilli sauce (I've synned as Tbs but think it was more like tsp of sauce as couldn't taste it!) & salad.  Didn't fancy a jacket or a steak; only wanted something light so that meant a wrap or something from the small plates menu - none of which are SW friendly!

    Afternoon all

1/2 off for me, happy with that but doctors scales was 3 1/2! thought that was a bit ambitious 🤣🤣

We didn't end up going Bletchley Park, as well as my manky leg from bite dh woke up with a black toe 🙄 his nail is also black, looks like he bashed it but he said he can't remember doing it, but he is so clumsy sometimes, walks into or bashes his feet on loads 🤣 i shouldn;t laugh but sometimes i do think he has something wrong with him how often he does it.

So i have been sorting one of the sheds out and now sat down for a rest, we are both knackered, think it's because out twice this week, i was in bed 9.30 ish last night and slept like a log!

I had cheese spread and ham egg wraps, cherry toms and 4 victoria plums, chinese tonight

Shame you didn't make it to Bletchley Park but your health must come first.  You must have been tired if you slept so soundly last night and having an early night.  Sometimes our bodies just seem to know what to do!  Sometimes I think we try to do too much; I'd say well done on listening to your body by not going out again.  Can you rearrange Bletchley Park for another time?

Hope your leg and DH's toe heals quickly.  Sounds like your DH dropped something heavy on it, just stubbing it (painful though that can be) doesn't usually cause a black toe and nail!

Enjoy tonight's Chinese.  Have you decided what you're having yet?

Can go anytime but these were free tickets 😂 also with them once you have your ticket you can use as many times as you like in 12 months so if you don't get all the way round can go back again :D

I did wake at 4 but just went loo and thought to early to get up 😂 went back to sleep till half 6 got up about 6.50 ready for SW.

Hopefully the antibiotics will start kicking in for my leg, it's my good leg as well 🙄 he has not dropped anything here on it, and wears steel toe caps at work.

Think it will be chicken and mushroom tonight 😋😋 just going to cu the bns chips

  • Sitting down for a sports fest evening😀 Just watched the F1 sprint quali for the race tomorrow. Not seen the previous 2, but enjoyed it. Then at 5, will be glued to the All Ireland football final. My home county is playing and I think the whole country has to support us! We have not won it for 70 years, we have lost it 10 times since, 8 in my lifetime, 2 matches which had to go to a replay, so I think we deserve it😂 It is a much quicker game than soccer, with 35 min halves, so hopefully it will be enjoyable. Then to watch the tennis sensation, she has done amazingly well and I doubt she will be fussed who wins as she didn’t expect to be there anyway😂

Done all the housework, washing, ironing so think I deserve a free evening. Need to think about dinner, may bung a potato in the oven as I won’t need to worry about keeping an eye on it, had turkey patties with mushrooms & tomatoes with toast for brunch, needed filling well to keep me going for the day!
A smile costs little but creates much :)
