Thanks.  I've had my loose bottomed tart cases for years but think I've only ever used them a couple of times.  Will definitely give them a try next time.

You're doing really well @Seasidegal58. Sadly, the Villa Maria is 13.5% so 11.5 syns for a large 250ml glass.

I don't want to get you into bad habits but most of us do tweak the plan a bit so averaging out syns across the week can work but it's not official SW policy. 😉

@maman - 😱😱😱 to the Villa Maria syns!  One thing is true - you'll never become an alcoholic if you follow the SW plan correctly!🤣

maman and @joedenise - I think I'm going to average out the syns over the week to make this work properly for me - that's 105 syns per week.  However, it's my first weigh in tomorrow morning, but I actually started the plan last Wednesday, so for six days over the past week my syn allowance is 90.  I've worked out the syns since Wednesday so adding up everything including dinner tonight, that's 84.5 syns for this week.

Today I've had two poached eggs, 2 slices wholemeal toast (HEB and 6 syns), HP reduced salt/sugar sauce (half syn), two tsps Pure sunflower spread (3 syns), Oatly (HEA1) for coffees, apple, grapes, 200 grams Fage 5% Greek yoghurt (1 and half syns). Dinner tonight is SW free Chicken and Mushroom curry plus half packet Waitrose microwaveable rice (1 and half syns).

As I have 5 and a half syns left over, I think I will treat myself to some Green and Black's dark salted caramel chocolate!

You're right @Seasidegal58. We all have to prioritise syns and wine is right up there for me. 🤣

I don't suppose it will affect you too much but today's food looks a bit low on Speed, just the mushrooms in the curry and the apple. Of course you might have onions and tomatoes in the sauce? 🤔

Hi @maman - there was a tin of tomatoes and an onion included in the recipe, plus I put in a red pepper as well to bulk it out a bit. I also forgot to include my side veg of broccoli in my list, which I'm also going to have as well tonight.  I also made a typo in my last post - it's chickpea and mushroom not chicken and mushroom curry!😂

@Seasidegal58 I assume you're using 800g wholemeal loaf as you've counted HEB + 6 syns?  I don't know if you have a Morrisons or a Tesco near you but both of them do a 800g loaf that you can have 2 slices for HEB!  I buy the Morrisons own brand medium wholemeal but if you only have a Tesco then the Neville's 800g wholemeal is also 2 slices for HEB.  I don't mind that one for toast but not keen on it for a sandwich!  🤞 for WI tomorrow!

I wondered if you'd made a typo with the curry - think you said you were vegetarian?  One of my favourite veggie curries is a chickpea and butternut squash curry.

DH asked me if I'd done something wrong tonight because the batter on the toad in the hole had risen so much!  No idea why as I made it exactly the same as I usually do, perhaps it was because the eggs were fresh, as in only bought today not laid today, LOL!
