What was wrong with the swede @bubbs? 🤔
It was dry , tasteless and bloody horrible 😂
I find swede difficult. Sometimes it cooks up fine and other times it takes ages to soften, if at all. I've even tried 'singing swede' in the microwave. Mostly I batch cook swede and carrot mash and freeze in portions.

Morning everyone, lots to catch up on!  Welcome aboard @Seasidegal58.

It was another STS for me on Saturday, bit disappointed as I'd been on plan all week.  Just need to keep it going and hope it shows this week - though the dreaded period has appeared again so who knows.

    Today's plan -

B - 45g bran flakes HEXB, yoghurt, strawberries and raspberries
L - l/o Sunday  dinner - chicken, roasted veg and cubed potatoes
D - chicken and chorizo paella (DS cooking, think this is a Slimming Foodie recipe)

    Syns - 0.5 yoghurt, 4 chorizo

    Have a good day all!

Morning all.  Shame about the STS @Jellybaby but it's better than a gain and hopefully it'll show on the scales next week.

Was going to do another load of washing this morning but it's been raining overnight and it's still very grey and miserable so have decided to leave it for another day or two when hopefully it'll be a bit warmer and brighter!  It's not desperate to get it done.

    Today's plan:

    B - cheese omelette - P; HEA2
    L - roast pork & apple sauce sandwich - HEB; 1
D - toad in the hole; roast potatoes, cabbage, runner beans & roasted veg - S; F; 6.5

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - Lighter than Light mayo 0.5; apple sauce 0.5; 2 low fat sausages 2; 25g flour 4.5

Will be well within syns today so should hopefully get that loss I want on Friday and not have to pay!

    Have a good day everyone.

All 'good behaviour' shows up eventually @Jellybaby. Hang on in there! 😊

🤞🏼 that you manage to get back into target in grace week @joedenise. I know you'll give it your best shot.

I'm feeling quite slim this morning which is pleasing. We're out for lunch tomorrow but other than that I should have a good week ahead. I'll check my book but I think I've got about 3 more weeks before I have to go to WI. We have a couple of family birthdays coming up in September though so I might go sooner.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, baked beans (F), HEB toast, HEA milk, fried egg, bacon (P)
L- ham (P), potato (F), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- veggie chilli (P,S), brown rice (F), cottage cheese (P)
    Syns- 0

    Afternoon all

We are not going out people only to shows and that , then we usually have a meal but not sure how it's going to work out next week as shows 2 days and we have to be in MK for 6.20 and the shows don't start till 7.30 😳 then Saturday we are going bletchley park if it's not chucking it down , we can take a picnic there though.

Made strawberry tarts today , Denise this is how my cases looked

They look good @bubbs; my cases were a bit shallower I think.  Will have to see if I can find a slightly deeper tart tin or maybe I'll just use my loose bottomed individual tart tins but think I'd probably only get one tart out of 40g of oats!

I think I'd go to WI before all the birthdays next month maman particularly if they are likely to involve eating out and more alcohol than usual!

Shopping done; had wanted to get some of the Ice*and frozen lamb shanks but they hadn't got any so will have to try again next time I'm in there - it's one of those places I tend to only go to about once a month as it's a bit out of the way of getting to any of the other SMs!

September's meal plan is done and shouldn't need to buy too much meat - just a chicken and a good sized pork joint as want to make the joint do 3 dinners for the 2 of us.  Also need to get some haddock for DH to smoke but need to get that next week as the pork won't be ready to smoke until then (takes nearly a week to prepare the pork loin for smoking and we've got 2 pieces to do - one piece was in the freezer and DH picked up another piece while we were in Icel*nd).  Other than that it's just fresh fruit and veg; yoghurt etc.
