Morning all. Glad to hear you had a better day @klew356 , hopefully the power cuts don't cause you too many problems!
Had a bit of a meltdown yesterday afternoon but resisted eating to make me feel better - realised that it really doesn't help in the long run. Feeling a lot better today but not hungry so haven't had breakfast yet. Might end up having brunch instead and if that's the case then I might have some form of eggs on toast with roasted tomatoes. Dinner is going to be a sausage tray bake with some of DH's homegrown potatoes plus red onion and peppers and either salad or broccoli on the side (need some greenery in there and will let DH decide what he wants).

Morning all. Weather is horrible again today, drizzly and grey. Power cuts can be a bit of a pain can't they klew? We used to have lots of power cuts but, touch wood, not had a problem for a couple of years now - they used to be quite regular when we first moved here 20 years ago.
Well done on avoiding food when you had a meltdown yesterday ruby.
I've spent most of the morning on medical matters! Had a COPD and blood pressure review at the Dr's first thing; then a telephone triage for physio at 10.30 and then a call from a digital GP at 11 o'clock! Now got to wait for an appointment for face to face physio and also for an appointment to have an ultrasound scan. Really looking like we won't be able to get away to France in a couple of weeks. Just hope Eurotunnel are understanding and will let us move our booking to next year!
Today's plan:
B - scrambled eggs, beans, tomatoes, onions, toast - HEB; P; S; F
L - smoked salmon souffle; salad - P; S; F
D - beef bourguignon; mashed butternut squash - P; S
HEA - milk
HEB - bread

Double well done to you @ruby_eskimo, on your weightloss and showing great willpower yesterday! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks for the heads up on the beetroot @bubbs. I was in Morrisons on Monday so depends when I can get there next as it's a bit far but I was dancing nearby. I did buy some Oxo red wine pots just in case I have a problem getting Tesco ones. They were still on the 2 for £2 offer. I haven't done the maths exactly but I noticed each cube makes less 'wine' than the Tesco ones.
I suppose it rather depends when the appointments are likely to come through and how essential they are @joedenise. It would be horrible to put off your holiday and find that appointments were delayed by Covid . The trouble is that (locally anyway) nobody wants to even estimate a date.
Shame you weren't at the end of the lead when your dog was running manically @klew356. Just think of the steps!! 🤣
I'm doing a version of sweet and sour today which is more like a sort of pork casserole. I often have syn free days during the week but I'm fitting in some recipes we like with a few syns in them as I'm between WIs. . This one has honey and sherry (substituted port) and a bit of cornflour. but comes to less than 2.5 syns each. I want to use up a pack of YS pork cubes.
Incidentally @joedenise, when I went to use the app yesterday it asked me if I'd weighed or something similar. It did give a remind me later option which I used but it looks like after a month SW start nagging.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), bacon, 2 eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- LO hash (F,P,S) with beetroot (S) and egg (P)
D- sweet and sour pork casserole (P,S), brown rice (F)

Afternoon all
I would like some advice please, i had a hankering after a cheese and ham toastie, which i made out of soft pitta, i used 50g cathedral city slices as ii got them for 10p 🤣 a pack , i was going to use as 1 1/2 hexa as only had 1 cuppa today and only have a splash of milk, but looking it up it says 5 syns a slice, so be it if it is as had no other syns, but i am having spag bol on jacket for tea and would like some cheese on top, what's the best way forward please? Don't usally have this problem 😏Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
I'd go with a bit of grated parmasan bubbs - you can have 30g for HEA but personally I think that is far too much for the top of spag bol! I'd go for may 10 or 15g and call it half HEA. If the cheese slices had been the half fat ones you could have used one of them as HEA. You don't really have many syns so would it be the end of the world to have to use 10 syns for the 2 cheese slices?
maman - I'm going through Beneden for the physio and ultrasound scan so hopefully not as long as NHS. My GP hasn't even got the referral letter done yet but I've had an email referral from the Beneden GP so just need to phone to sort out the scan appointment. Should also be getting a call about the physio either later this afternoon or sometime tomorrow to sort out a date.
Not making a decision about the holiday until I've spoken to both - I certainly don't want to cancel but will if that's when the appointments come up.

Thanks Denise,
No it's not the end of the world as will only use another 1 today for ice cream.
Don't think i have any parmasan but i do have some other hard cheese i can weigh and use, means ive buggared up my sas log as already filled it in, will just have to scribble it out 🤣🤣Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
I wouldn't worry about buggering up your SAS log. I'm sure people often change their minds - I know I do! I'd just call the hard cheese parmasan on the log though!

I'd just syn the cheese slices @bubbs. You have enough to spare. I'd agree with @joedenise that Parmesan is best on Bolognese but depends on what you have in.
Hopefully the appointments will fit around your holiday @joedenise. 🤞0 -
Thanks it was worth it anyway 😜

That's the main thing bubbs that you enjoyed it - nothing worse than using syns and then not enjoying it!
