    Morning all,

Hope you are feeling better @bubbs what is an sas log?

I didn’t even weigh this weekend as I slept in, so unlike me and I haven’t had the best week. I weighed yesterday and it was a sts from 2 weeks ago. I had a craving for a roast dinner so when I was shopping on Saturday I bought a chicken and roasted that on Saturday. So dinner two nights was roast chicken, gravy, yorkies, carrots, peas, cauli cheese and stuffing. Incredible.

B fruit and fibre ss milk

    L egg and pasta salad

    D chicken curry and noodles

Going to try and have an exceptional week, not sure if I will get to spin though that’s the only thing

Morning all, back at my desk after a week off and just not feeling it at all!   I feel your pain @bubbs and I'm another who is keen to see what the consultant suggests.  I've decided to stick with going to class a bit longer to see if I can shift the final stone and a half.  I'm hoping the MSE in me will keep me going as I really don't want to pay.

I didn't weigh on Saturday morning and was off plan for most of the weekend so need to give myself a good shake and get on with it.  Did hear from a friend that our classes are back to 'almost normal' with tea and coffee, raffle etc resuming and you can decide if you want to remove your shoes or not.

I've only got as far as breakfast which will be the usual f/f Greek yoghurt with fruit.  Will see what needs used up for lunch and dinner is likely to involve chicken.  oh @maman and @joedenise my local Morrisons have the stock pots, they've been on offer 2 for £2 for the last few weeks.   Bit far to come though

Fresh start for us all today.😁 I'm out for lunch this coming Friday so want to be as good as possible in between.

I think a SAS log is a bit like a very detailed food diary @klew. The idea is to write down absolutely everything that passes your lips and then analyse it to see if there's something you're doing, which you hadn't realised,  that's sabotaging your weight loss. It could be something you're eating that you've mistaken the syn value for or not having a balanced food plan or whatever.

You should be OK with the mashed celeriac instead of potato @joedenise. I find things like that (swede, BNS, carrot) as satisfying as carbs. You could always mix it with some potato if you feel hungry later. That's assuming you're still awake at dinner time! 🤣

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- ham (P), fried veg, beetroot (SW)
D- baked salmon (P), potatoes (F), broccoli, cauli, tomato, mushrooms (possibly with HEA cheese)
    Syns- 0

That's a difficult one @bubbs. Because of you avoiding carbs for your diabetes you don't have the free foods in your meals. What about trying the anomalies in SW that are free like peas, sweetcorn and cherries and baked beans!! 😁

Morning all, DH is going to golf early this morning (leaving about 6am) and he disturbed me when he got up because he couldn't sleep!  Tried to get back to sleep but just couldn't so ended up getting up about half hour ago - think that will probably mean an early night tonight to catch up!

I agree with maman bubbs - try using some of the 'dodgy' Free foods, although I know you won't use the sweetcorn 'cos "it's the food of the devil!", LOL!  But peas, grapes, cherries and baked beans would all be good ones.  Might be worth going through the lists in the books to see what other Free foods you like that you could include.

I've already had to rejig my menu plan since coming back from holiday as when I did it I didn't know my sister was coming today and after doing so realised that I have actually got an SP day today!  Just hope I don't feel hungry at the end of it like I have done in the past.

    Today's SP plan:

    B - cheese omelette - HEA2; P
L - low fat burger, onions, lettuce, tomato, wholemeal roll - HEB; S; 0.5
    D - beef stew; mashed celeriac - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - wholemeal roll
Syns - burger 0.5; glass of wine 6? (may have a glass at lunchtime with my sister)

    Have a good day everyone.

Yes def no chicken food 🤣🤣🤣 can't have many grapes they are sugar bombs, but yes will look through the book, good idea Denise!!

Our consultant said that SW was leaving it up to each group to decide when they were ready to ease up on Covid restrictions. In my group shoes aren't compulsory any more and they were going to restart the raffle. We'll have to buy drinks (or take our own) as the new venue has a cafe but no kitchen facilities we can use. I'm happy with that. I don't mind supporting the raffle but sometimes I'm not interested in the prize or I'm walking and don't want to carry it.

My group are almost back to normal - ie no shoes (but please wear socks!); raffle and drinks.  Have to serve yourself for drinks whereas my old group we had someone to make the drinks for you but don't think that was very usual from what I heard from people who visited from other groups!

Wine is going down very well now it's opened but very good to see my sister after all this time!  Decided it was time to get a contact number from her friend down the road in case I can't get hold of her anytime now she's over 70 (great way to think eh but none of us is getting any younger).  I've got my neice's number but she lives in Glasgow so not really the best person to contact if I can't get hold of her.

I always buy a raffle ticket but can't say I'm usually interested in the prize if I'm honest.  Always seems a load a rubbish to me - who needs a plastic "whatever it is" which is what most of the prizes seem to be and I'm never likely to win the SOTW basket!  Nobody wins it once they're at target do they?
