That's what happened to me bubbs  - I weighed more at the end of my 6 week countdown than when I started and I felt like people in group were thinking I was just making up what I was eating. I put it down to stress in the end and gave up going. The discipline is good for me, but the stress just isn't for some reason. Could you maybe book yourself a holiday from group and have a week or two of not going and see what happens on your own scales?

    Morning all

She has said i can reset target to take the stress off, just doing SAS log this week and sending it in everyday , will see what happens but can't see it changing anything , i know i am on it.
She also said i don't want you to feel like this and stop coming so set target if needs be, she is so much better than last consultant who tbf i did like when i was getting to target , she just changed the last 18 months, yes i know she lost her mum last year but to kick me off the page without even speaking to me when i had done zoom was the final straw!

Afternoon all.  Back home now and have the first load of washing on the go!  Think it's going to take 2 or 3 days to get it all washed and dried, particularly as I still need to strip the bed in the motorhome.

I've got my sister coming tomorrow morning; not sure how long she'll be staying but would imagine it will be at least until after lunch.  Will be good to see her as not seen her since before the 1st lockdown although we speak on the phone at least 2 or 3 times a week except during holidays!

Today's not going to be completely on plan as we decided at the last minute to eat out for breakfast so definitely syns there as they'd run out of wholemeal bread so had to have white for the toast!  Have counted one slice as HEB (I know but I won't be having anything instead so synwise it's actually less than having  my usual 2 slices of wholemeal!).  Was so filling I don't need any lunch!

    Today's plan:

B - smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, grilled mushrooms, hash browns, white toast - HEB; P; S; 15.5
    L - nothing
D - toad in the hole, roast potatoes, home grown French beans, peas - S; F; 6.5

    HEA - milk
    HEB - slice bread
    Syns - slice bread 4.5; butter 4; low fat sausages 2; 25g flour 4.5

Definitely going to need damage limitation over the rest of the week!  This will leave me with 30 syns for 4 days so not actually as bad as I was expecting - averages out at 7.5 a day which should be more than enough.

Do let us know what feedback you get on the SAS logs @bubbs. I'd love to know about anything your consultant can find to improve on.

I'm going to do some rice pouches while I'm pottering in the kitchen this afternoon. I like the flavour of brown rice but it takes so long to cook I'd rather do a batch and then microwave as needed.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), 2 fried eggs (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S), HEB toast, HEA milk
    L- JP (F), veggie chilli (P,S), cottage cheese (P), beetroot (S)
D- beef in 'red wine' (P,S), SW roast potatoes (F), many veg (S)
    Syns- cornflour 1, weekend wine😊

Are you keeping a copy of your SAS logs bubbs?  If not it might be worthwhile as then you can see what your consultant is talking about if she discovers anything.  I'm sure when I did an SAS log my consultant said it was for my eyes only to see if I could work out what was wrong and that she didn't need to see it unless I wanted her to at the end of doing it for a week.  I think I already knew what the problem was and the SAS log proved me right (wasn't measuring milk and was going over most days but doesn't matter now that we can have 2 HEAs anyway!)

maman have you had any problem getting hold of the red wine stockpots?  I've tried our local Mr Ts and both Morries and neither have had any for weeks and I've run out.  Just wondering if anywhere else does them.  I've checked Sainsbury & Lidl but not Asda yet.

Oh no! I was in Morrison's a few weeks ago and looked for the wine stockpots @joedenise because you said they did them but they didn't have any. Because I only go rarely to Tesco I buy several packs at once so haven't looked there recently. I'm down to a box of each. Using real wine would add a lot to the cost of today's meal to say nothing of the syns!!! ☹️

I think the consultant is asking for the SAS logs to try to find out why SW isn't working as @bubbs can't think of anything and neither can we!!

Dinner sounds lovely bubbs.  Can you remind me how you make your cheesecake please?  I thought I'd saved the recipe on my laptop but it seems not.

I'm going to Lidl and Sainsbury on Tuesday so I'll check in both of those for the red wine stockpots maman.  I've got less left than you!  I have got just ONE stockpot and I'm probably going to use that tomorrow although I might just use a beef one as I'm going to be doing more of a casserole so might just save that for next time I make beef bourguignon!

Just remembered I can get to Tesco on Wednesday as have to go to the Dr's surgery in town rather than my local one for COPD review.  Should be a proper one this year after last year's fiasco of a telephone call just asking me questions - no idea how that's supposed to review my breathing!

As for Asda maybe I could pop in on the way back from Sainsbury's🤔.  Will check out Morries next time I go there as go quite regularly - it's the only place I can regularly get my ginger beer!  Most places don't stock the Old Jamaica Light only the original one which I refuse to syn unless absolutely necessary!

The red wine stock pots are still showing on Tesco website so 🤞 they're just having a temporary supply problem @joedenise . I use the red for today's recipe and also for chilli. The white I use for Bolognese. They're not essential but do give an extra depth to the sauces.

Asda seems to do an Oxo wine stock cube/pot. I only ever use Oxo for savoury mince as, to me, it has a typical Oxo/Bovril/Marmite flavour rather than beefy so I'd be a bit wary of that.
