wow loads to catch up on
Been hard at work since 8am and only had coffee again. Not ideal, but my own fault as I'm finishing up tonight for a couple of weeks so want to get everything up to to date or at least in good shape for the bits and pieces my team is picking up.
I'm not going to weigh in tomorrow morning as I had a long, 'hard' chat to brother dear last night, so off to spend the weekend with him. Will probably have (read that as need) wine syns! Consultant said I was too late to book a holiday but the last week of my countdown will cover it and next week I've already booked a holiday. I'm actually thinking of seeing how I do and may not go back to class. I would miss seeing some people but I'm finding the consultant is being more and more aggressive about attending, staying to class etc. Will think it through.
I'm not even going to post tonight's dinner as it will need to be another fridge and freezer raid. Have a good weekend all.0 -
Forgot to say this morning when I posted that I actually managed to STS, absolutely no idea how but I'll take it. I suspect there will quite a lot of unplanned syns this coming week with being away. We won't be back until the Sunday so there will be no WI for me next Friday (although I'll have a look first thing Monday morning to see if I need to do some damage limitation!).
We had a downpour a little while ago but it's brightened up quite considerably - enough for DH to decide to go and play 9 holes! I think he must be mad as it's likely to pour again later!
GTQ I'm sure the gain is just catch up and everything will be OK next week.
Hope you don't get caught in one of the heavy showers when you go out to do your shop maman.

Afternoon all

We have had heavy showers here today but been lovely when not chucking it down 😂 tomorrow is supposed to be awful
I feel like i have lost this week but don't want to jinx it 🙄
I had banana for breakfast, but then was STARVING at 11 so had lunch of mushroom omelette, 3 cheese spread and 1/2 tin beans in it and side salad 😋

Same here @joedenise. We had the really heavy downpour and then the sun came out. It's quite windy so I think the clouds are being blown over. Well done on your STS. 👏👏👏
You have to be sociable with your brother @Jellybaby and you wouldn't be mse if you didn't eat up what's in the fridge and freezer. If we are going to make a lifestyle change to SW then it takes a while to see off what we did before. Even then, we have to find our own way of doing it in the long run regardless of what the consultant says. Personally I stuck to plan quite well until I got to target but even then I took breaks for holidays and saved syns for weekends. I don't think I know anyone who doesn't tweak the plan. 🤣0 -

My KFC was really good - better than usual! Had a lot more chips than you bubbs! They were lovely a crispy, much crisper than usual; no idea why as I made them exactly the same as usual. Chicken was really moist too. Didn't make the garlic mushrooms after all so no speed with dinner but had plenty at lunchtime, probably not a third over the day but will make sure we have more during the week!
Have made a lamb dhansak for tomorrow night's dinner. I'll freeze half to have later in the month.1 -
Just out of interest @joedenise, did you have corn on the cob with your KFC? Wouldn't that be Speed compared with tinned sweetcorn? I only ever have baby sweetcorn which I know is Speed. It's so confusing. 🤔0

No maman unfortunately corn on the cob is just Free the same as tinned sweetcorn. I really don't understand it but it is what it is. No idea how they work out what is and isn't Speed. Think it's something to do with the amount of starch in it. Corn on the cob is definitely slightly starchy but nowhere near as starchy as something like potatoes. Oops just looked them both up and there is about 30 calories per 100g difference - and potatoes are less starchy than corn!
