No it wasn't beanie but it also means we won't be going back there again and it's a place we go to quite regularly. In future perhaps DH will listen to me and we'll go into the little cafe and have a jacket potato, LOL! Damn site cheaper too!

Morning all, weather not very nice this morning. It's been raining during the night but it looks as though it's trying to brighten up. Have got a long list of shopping which is needed mainly because we didn't do much last week with going away so made do with what we had in. Definitely need to restock the fridge as virtually nothing left except a lettuce and half a pepper!
Today's plan:
B - cheese omelette - HEA2; P
L - sweet chilli noodles with salad bits - S; F; 3
D - Fakeaway KFC; chips, beans, corn on the cob, garlic mushrooms - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - none planned but may have some crispbreads this evening
Syns - sweet chilli sauce 3; butter if I have the crispbreads 3; couple of drinks 5
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. Had a manic couple of days at work but seems to have calmed down today, still have a lot to do though so popping in quickly. Had usual ff yogurt with strawberries and granola for breakfast, lunch is going to be a prawn salad and then dinner is a japanese style chicken curry with rice and some homemade pickles on the side.
Hope everyone has a good day!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Good morning. Half a pound off this morning which is better than I expected. Thank you all for your support. It's back to being mostly my son (the House Troll) and me eating at home this week with the person that I look after (my paid job) here for a couple of evening meals and possibly my son's partner for one or two dinners and maybe lunches too.
I wasn't keen on the frozen summer fruits in the overnight oats so I'll have to think again. It was the little berries popping that put me off, sigh. I'll have a look on the net for other recipes. I know that the Chubby Cubs have done quite a few. I need to go and have a look in the freezer to see what's there for the rest of todays meals. Actually, an updated freezer inventory may be a good idea. I've promised my son (HT) that we can go out for coffee today so I may be able to sort the freezer today if we're not out for long or it may have to wait until Sunday.

Cranky I’m with you on the mixed berries and overnight oats. I prefer to buy the fruits I like and mix my own. I find some of the tiny berries very bitter and tough. And I don’t know why but the thought of raw oats fills me with dread. I imagine them being very powdery and can’t bring myself to try them. The same ingredients making up porridge with some of my milk allowance is great…..can’t get over the raw oat barrier.
Home made pickles sound lovely Ruby
The meal out doesn’t sound good at all Denise. Glad you had a good time though 👍
Back on the plan properly today after my celebration yesterday and all the entertaining I did at weekend. All left over goodies are in the freezer in small portions for treats rather than to graze on all day😏
Breakfast - bacon and tomato heb butty ✔️
dinner - cold meat egg and salad
tea - jacket potato with tuna and salad 1 syn
snacks - fruit
body magic - walk ✔️January spends - £587.580 -
Something that I started doing last year was actually whizzing the berries up in the blender with the yogurt and a splash of milk for my overnight oats (and a dash of cinnamon) and then mixing that into the oats. Find it makes it a lot easier to eat 👍CRANKY40 said:Good morning. Half a pound off this morning which is better than I expected. Thank you all for your support. Well done on getting a loss @CRANKY40.😊
Not sure which is worse @joedenise, the waste of syns or money!! You'd expect lamb shank to be sous vide and really easy to do. 🤔
Although the mixed berries are best value, I now buy just raspberries. I actually like the blackcurrants but not soggy strawberries or cherries which aren't even Speed. This time of the year though I try to buy fresh strawberries as much as I can while they're in season. Those were a Tesco bargain you posted @bubbs and the Galia melons looked good too.
Same lunch as yesterday. I seemed to make a huge dish of hash and it would have been just plain greedy to eat it all yesterday.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), HEB toast, HEA milk, fried eggs (P0, tomatoes (S)
L- LO ham hash (P,S,F) with pickles (S)
D- Fake KFC (P), chips (F), asparagus, mange tout and other veg I need to shop for!😉
Syns- weekend wine!1 -
Gosh, that is a pain in the rear Denise, nothing worse than poor food!
Unexpected gain this week, was expecting it last week and it didn't happen, so hoping it is just catch up, it better be
Our consultant is on holidays, very few there last night, not sure whether it was because it was not our regular or whether it was chucking it down and no one wanted to get wet. As it is a new venue for me, it looks as if most of those from the original group are actually within walking distance, so maybe they didn't want to get wet. A smile costs little but creates much

The thing about SW @Gettingtherequickly is that whatever you do catches up with you. Fortunately that also applies to being good with the plan too!! 😁
It's just started chucking it down here too! I have to do my meal plan and shop but should be able to get everything I need in Aldi so won't need to be out in it for long. ☔0
