Good morning all. I've been missing as my sister has been over from Ireland. My dad's ashes were collected from London then she came up here so that we could scatter them with my dad's brother and his wife present. The time that she was here was a bit busy as we had so many people to see and things that we had to do.
We had a meal out with our aunty and uncle (wasn't even nice, sigh), a meal out with my other aunty and a takeaway not to mention the snacks just grabbed while on the go. It was also hard to eat healthily whilst going to other people's choices of places to eat. Sister has gone back home so I was sort of on plan yesterday and hope to do better today. I'm aiming for a STS tomorrow.1 -
Well dome @milann. It's a loss, don't knock it!!😁 It's my wedding anniversary next week so I'm trying to stay on plan until then.
That's a super menu considering the stress the siblings are putting you under @Jellybaby. Hang on in there and feel proud of yourself for doing the right thing. 😊
I find that's one of the most difficult things with SW is eating out @CRANKY40. It seems to be getting worse as restaurants save money by padding out with cheap ingredients like pastry and bread and saving on proper chefs with lots of deep frying because it's quick. It must have been much harder with visitors for several days and even worse wasting syns on a meal out that you didn't enjoy!! There's nothing else you can do. Just draw the line and move forward. 😁
I bought some YS carrots in Sainsbury's yesterday so will prep them for the freezer today. I'm going to put some savoury mince in the SC too as I've been fancying some cottage pie for a change. Loads of hash left last night so probably enough for 2 lunches. Yesterday I forgot that my lunch had mayo so have added 1 syn for that. I really like the Sainsburys LTL mayo, just half a syn per tbsp.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, strawberries (S)
L- LO hash (P,F,S) with egg (P) and beetroot (S)
D- SW Bolognese (P,S), pasta (F), HEA2 Parmesan

Afternoon all. Had virtually no internet while we were away - we managed some a couple of times on DH's phone but that was about it! Have had quick read through. Well done everyone on any losses - don't think that's likely to happen here after these few days away as didn't stick to the plan I'd written and ate out twice! Once was very nice but high syn with a cream tea; the other we went to a pub and I had tomato & mozzarella salad to start followed by an almost inedible lamb shank - it was the worst one I've ever had; it came with carrots, again inedible as virtually raw and lukewarm, peas & about Tbs of mash - what a waste of money and syns! Was very good with alcohol though and didn't have any wine which is always my downfall, stuck to G&T and rum & ginger beer!
Cranky - just draw the line and straight back on plan, which is exactly what I'm planning to do for a few days before going away again for a week!
Today's plan:
B - egg sandwich - HEB; P; 3
L - jacket potato, cheese, salad - HEA2; S; F
D - chicken & butternut squash tagine, couscous - P; S; F; 1
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - spreadable butter 3; honey 1; couple of rum & ginger beer 5
Hope everyone is enjoying some good weather, although I think there's rain in the west but it's still warm and sunny here. Have one load of washing on the line and another in the machine. Still have another couple to do but probably won't get those done until tomorrow but will see.

I certainly did bubbs! Didn't do us any good though still had to pay it but didn't leave a tip which I would normally have done.
Need to go shopping tomorrow but also need to sort out what I'm going to be taking away with us and what I need to cook to take!
Should have said my shoulder is starting to feel a bit better but stretching still causes quite a bit of pain and I've probably made it a bit worse with hanging washing out on the line and getting it back in.
Have already packed the van with clothes ready for next week! Only need to sort food which will put in on Saturday or Sunday as the fridge will be nice and cold.
