Our DD1 Has invited us for Xmas day so assuming we get a negative result looks like we’ll get a proper Christmas dinner (her partner is a chef)!

Fingers crossed it is negative and that's a good result

Shame you're not finding it Christmassy in France @joedenise but good to know that you can change your return crossing with no extra cost.

That's good you'll get a Christmas lunch. I know you're in the motor home but, oddly enough, people can get home on public transport and mix in airports so you could stop off for shopping if you need to. 🤔

We've just been out carol singing! We have communal singing with a band on the village green in our road. It was great but I had a piece of carrot cake. Probably horrendous syns but it was delicious. 😋
  • Morning all!  Good news that you've managed to move your bookings around without too much trouble @joedenise and that you're hopefully getting an amazing Christmas dinner out of it!  My MIL is having beef wellington on Christmas day this year and it's the first time she's not had turkey - had to ask her if she was feeling ok 😆

Carol singing sounds extremely festive @maman, you are a braver woman than I!

Feeling very bloated and just generally "meh" today so haven't had breakfast yet, just a coffee.  Lunch may be soup and then dinner tonight is some random stew I found in the freezer (think it's some leftover hotpot 🤔) which we'll have with green beans, cauliflower and carrots.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Yes it was easy enough to change the booking however I was on the phone for nearly 1 hour 30 minutes!  Good job I have unlimited minutes.

Have taken out a chicken and chickpea tagine from the freezer for dinner tonight.  Dinners have been SW friendly, it’s the breakfast and lunches that aren’t!

Community Carol singing sounds good.  Glad you enjoyed the carrot cake, nothing worse than not enjoying syns!

I've been putting off going to the Company Shop @bubbs as I really don't have room for anything extra at the moment. Looking forward to a trip in the new year. Well done on raising all that money for charity. 👏👏👏

Bloating is horrible @ruby_eskimo. ☹️ I'm still waiting for tests to find out why it's happening.

Back on plan today. Just one lunch out at our favourite Italian planned next week.

    Today's EE plan -
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
    L- JP(F), cottage cheese (P), beetroot, pickled cabbage (S)
    D- chicken casserole (P, F, S), cauli, broccoli, cabbages (S)
    Syns - weekend wine 😁

Morning all.  We came back to Honfleur yesterday so Wi-Fi is ok here.

The tagine ended up being chickpea and butternut squash, no chicken at all in it - we must have eaten that first time round!

Well done @bubbs on raising so much money for charity.

Savoury mince for dinner tonight but not sure we’ll have with it.

Moving on about 1.5 hours today to get a bit further north so we don’t end up having too long a drive over the next few days.  We want to end up about an hour from Calais on Monday and Tuesday so not too far to drive to the tunnel Wednesday morning.

Enjoy your weekend in Honfleur @joedenise. I love that coastline, especially Deauville and Trouville with the 'Victorian' architecture. If it's cold I'm sure there's plenty of vin chaud around.  😊

We're planning a bit of a walk this afternoon but otherwise my task is to get the decorations up.  A couple of years ago I sorted them all out so that now they fit into the under stairs cupboard and so no need for climbing into the loft!

Our football match today has been postponed because of Covid so no Crunchie will be eaten! 😁

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S)
    L- LO casserole (P,S,F)
D- baked salmon (S), potato cubes (F), carrot cubes, cauli, broccoli, tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
    Syns- weekend wine😉

Schools out and I’m still covid free 🤞🏻 After this week’s dialysis failure here’s hoping for success next week 👏 also having another nuclear scan. Hopefully that’s all before Christmas!
Have a good weekend all 🤗🎅🏼
