I only put on 1/2 a lb yesterday morning.
Sunday food wise was decent- plenty speed (I went through an entire jar of gherkins on my two salads and there were tomatoes and frozen garlic on my fish for tea) but I did go over syns again. Nothing really bad- just a couple of cans of alcohol free Guinness and a bag of crisps- and I could quite easily cut back over the week- just need to cut back 3 Syns per day to cover it. Should be okay now until Xmas Eve, full steam ahead.
I was at a celebrity charity football game so not a match as such 😊

That's great @MrsRyan! Well done for getting back to it.

Have you tried Lidl's pickled cornichons? I think they're even better than gherkins. 😋
  • Morning all.  Haven't weighed myself this morning because well, I couldn't be bothered.  Don't think I've been particularly bad this week but star week is fast approaching and the bloating is persisting.  Did manage to get a workout in this morning finally though so feeling good for that.  Breakfast was porridge with the last of my raspberries and then yesterday made a massive batch of my favourite soup (lentil, swede, carrot and potato with ham stock) which made about 10 portions 😲 Very glad I made some room in the freezer last week!  So that's lunch sorted for the week and then dinner tonight is a jacket potato with beans, cheese and salad 👍  Hope you all have a good day.

Well done on fitting in a workout @ruby_eskimo. It's probably good that you haven't weighed yet. The bloating would give a false reading so better off waiting.

I think proper ham stock makes the best ever lentil soup. We'll be having a gammon joint on Christmas Eve with plenty left over for cold cuts. I'd like to make soup too. Maybe I'll prep all the veg in advance and then it'll be quick and easy. I just couldn't bring myself to waste the stock.

It's my DD1's birthday today so we met up at lunchtime. I had a tuna jacket with plenty of side salad. There was definitely some mayo in the tuna but hard to decide how many syns. There was a separate salad dressing which I ignored.

I'm having Uncle Ben's sweet and sour tonight although checking the website, it's now been renamed  just Ben's.🤔 Fortunately, although the nephew has taken over the cooking, the recipe (and syns) haven't changed! 🤣

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), bacon, fried eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
    L- JP (F) with tuna (P), side salad (S)
D- sweet and sour chicken (P,S), brown rice (F)
Syns- mayo? sweet and sour sauce 1.5

Thanks @bubbs. I think Sainsburys are matching Aldi in the veg wars. I was thinking of getting swede and carrot as I like to batch cook the mash. After lunch with friends tomorrow, I'm at home until Christmas so will have a think about what I've got time to do. 🤔🎅
