  • Morning all.  I know what you mean @maman and last night was the last outing for me until Christmas.  Other than a food shop on Sunday, I'm hunkering down now till boxing day 🤞  Dinner was lovely (seabass with crushed new potatoes and green beans, and sticky toffee pudding) and it was so nice to see our friends.

Glad the gas came through @bubbs and normal service is resumed!

Sounds like a lovely weekend away @Mrs_Ryan, I admire your energy for all your outings!

Back on it today - had weetabix for breakfast, lunch is yet more butternut squash soup (definitely better with lots of smoked paprika in it) and then dinner is LO fish pie from the freezer as DH is off out for dinner with an old uni friend tonight.  Hope you all have a good day!

Morning, I now have two work colleagues and three friends isolating as they have come into contact with or have family with covid  :o    I'm thinking I'll use Friday's leave for the Christmas food shop and get it out of the way.

Toast and jam for breakfast, more tomato and red pepper soup for lunch and dinner is good old mince and tatties.

    Have a good day all.

🤞🏼 you get away with it at WI @MrsRyan. I'm just pleased that you feel up to all this gadding about. You sound so much more upbeat than you were a while back. 😊

I try to get as much shopping as possible done in advance too @Jellybaby and that's even without Covid. I don't mind buying in extra food provided it has a long date or can be frozen. Generally the only thing that's been occasionally wasted is some lettuce but @joedenise said that can be braised with peas so I'll be trying that if there's any left. 😁

I'm still going out and about but still being careful @ruby_eskimo . I know DH is thinking hard about football at the weekend.  We have two more planned meals out  with friends.  Although we're told that omicron is a mild variant, it could still cause havoc if millions of people get it and can't go to work. 🤔

Note to self -I need to batch cook some brown rice as I'm using the last frozen pouch today.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), bacon, fried eggs (P)< HEA milk, HEB toast
    L- ham (P), bubble & squeak (F,S), pickles (S)
D- veggie chilli (P,S), brown rice (F), cottage cheese (P)
    Syns- 0

I like your wreath @bubbs, very creative. We've got a green one on the door (YS in Aldi a couple of years ago}. It's saved me £££s already. 😁
