Morning
Thanks for the lovely welcomes
Could I please have the syn values for the below?
I can't afford to throw anything away, so just need to do my best with what I have for now.
All from Aldi:
Chilled samosas
Chilled onion bhajis
Chilled bacon and cheese crispbakes
Chilled cheese and onion rolls
Chilled bacon and cheese sausage rolls
Chilled individual portion quiche lorraine
Frozen quarter pounder burgers
I found my booksWasn't sure if I'd thrown them away, but thankfully not.
Other than Thrifty Lesley, are there any more websites for cheaper slimming world friendly meals?1 -
I've thought of more things that are in my cupboard...sorry...
Munchie bars peanut and the raisin ones
Soft bakes choc & hazelnut
Breakfast biscuits strawberry & yog
There's going to be a lot to get through before the decks are cleared...1 -
Morning all. Happy to report finally a 1lb loss this week. Think that's mainly due to not eating much over the weekend - we had friend's over on Saturday with their baby and I was cleaning like a mad woman before hand, then entertaining the little one down while his mum had a nap (he's teething so they didn't get much sleep) and his dad helped my husband with a DIY job. Sunday was spent clearing out the house of one of DH's relatives so an early start and we only managed dinner because my MiL was kind enough to go out at get us all some roast dinner from the pub up the road (roast beef, tons of green veg and lovely roast potatoes).
Have a busy-ish week this week and DH is away for work so easy meals for me. Haven't had breakfast yet as not too hungry so might have some yogurt mid morning, lunch is going to be the last of the cauliflower cheese soup with a slice of bread and then dinner is homity pie with linda m sausages, so an old style green day for me.
Hope you all have a good day!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171 -

Check out SlimmingEats; PinchofNom and Two Chubby Cubs website for SW recipes. I tend to scroll down through the blurb particularly on the Two Chubby Cubs as can be a bit offensive for some.2 -

If I were you I would try and get others to eat a lot of those as they will take a big chunk out of your 15 syn allowance per day (or 105 is you do a weekly syn bank like a lot of us)!

Well done @ruby_eskimo on your lb loss. Sounds like you had a busy weekend!
I jumped on the scales again this morning and I have lost a bit more - now just have 3lb left to lose but think that's probably impossible before we go away on Thursday morning but at least I've lost some of it. Will try to stick to SW friendly stuff as much as possible while we are in France apart from the bread of course and when we eat out!
Today's plan:
B - fry up - sausages, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, fried up LO potatoes - P; S; F; 2
L - roast pork sandwich - HEB; P; 3.5
D - LO roast chicken, chips, beans, tomatoes - P; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - sausages 2; butter 3.5
Not a lot of speed today but if I manage to get to the SM I'll pick up some more mushrooms to increase the amount with dinner. Not sure if I'm going to be able to go shopping as the car is currently in the garage for service and MOT and no idea what time it will be ready. I don't like driving in the dark so if it's late then shopping will have to wait until tomorrow after my hairdresser and been to cut my hair (assuming DH doesn't decide to play golf and takes the car!).
Have a good day everyone.

Well done on getting a loss @ruby_eskimo.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 A roast dinner was a good choice yesterday too. I'm sure you'll miss your DH but it's such a treat to indulge yourself with meals that you really fancy. Enjoy!
Will you be taking any food with you to France @joedenise? I used to love shopping in French supermarkets but I've not done it for so long now that I'm not sure how prices compare. Do post when you have wifi so that we can travel around virtually. 😊
Well done on listing all the things you have to get rid of @FrankieM. Lots of the things you have would make ideal party food if you have any visitors coming or have to take a contribution somewhere. I agree with @joedenise, try to get someone else to eat it or share it if at all possible or you'll just have to use up syns over time.
I've had a SW breakfast (porridge & berries) and will have cold meat & pickles for lunch. Tonight we're eating out again with friends. Usually the food is fairly SW friendly but wine syns, on a Monday!!! Back on plan for the rest of the week after that.1 -
Morning all,
The eating didn’t get much better over the weekend, Saturday mornings grab a can of irn bru extra ( I don’t even do fizzy drinks) and a handful of pringles for breakfast. However I met two good friends yesterday one of which is also having a hard time and we both decided to make a conscious effort to do more us. Like I felt terrible eating rubbish, but it was necessary. So finally emptied the fridge and freezer and did a bit of restocking yesterday. Im not going to be able to spin for a while which is unfortunate.
Today
Fruit and fibre ss milk
Tuna pasta, 30 sheels of pasta, tin of tuna, cocktail onions, sweetcorn, celery, spring onion and a dollop of mayo
Some sort of chilli tonight, batch cook so theres four portions for this coming week. To have with rice, baked potato etc
Dad is unwell and has started some radiotherapy. Its very sad
