  • Welcome back Denise!

Came away last night a 1lb gain, was not that happy, but realised that it is over 2 weeks and as I was running to stand still last week, I wasn't eating as well as I should have been. I did jump on the scales on the Thursday evening and it was showing as 3lb up, so I possibly have actually lost 2lb this week, either way, not going to stress, more important thing in life.

Have had the week from hell at work, so busy, that things could go terribly wrong food wise tonight, but I am going to have burger which I took out of freezer last night, make some chips & have mushrooms, toms & a corn on the cob which needs to be eaten, think I may get away with that!

Going to see the lightshow in Crystal Palace tomorrow night, so we are eating out, I have chosen, so chosen well & will be eating beforehand so will help walk it off.  What I haven't told her yet is that I am leaving the car at home, it will be a mare trying to park there, so will have about a 4 mile round trip just getting there & back, another couple of miles around the park, so may come out of the day quite well!
A smile costs little but creates much :)

The half stone tells me that you had a really good holiday @joedenise. 😁 You'll be a bit more in control in the motor home and plenty of salad available in France so you can start chipping away.

It's a difficult time of the year for SW but one thing we can do is to have SW friendly meals in between the festive ones.

I'm still feeling stuffed from my lunch. I chose a smoked salmon starter, traditional Christmas dinner (sprouts given to DH 😉) and the cheeseboard. The quality is still good at this restaurant although the cheeses are less exotic than before. I remember having Epoisses there for the first time. Now it's just Stilton, brie and mousetrap.

I doubt I'll want anything more to eat today. I did manage to do some shopping on the way home so OK for the weekend. Tomorrow I'm out again for a shared supper and again on Monday, Thank goodness I don't have to go to WI any time soon. 😁

    I am confused 🤔

This is me and my consultant on fb page when i posed my tea
her :I’ve got to say I’ve seen a huge transformation in the way you present your meals this week. You have been a speed food queen x

me :Thanks but i 9/10 have over half plate speed

    her :
whether it’s a conscious move or not that half plate speed as been there but you have also lowered your free food accompanying it this week too...

    me:
Sorry i don't follow, Free food as in what? i don't eat alot of free food, don't eat rice, pasta, rarely have potatoes , rarely have peas, never have sweetcorn .

So what free food have i lowered?

GTQ, well done on restraining yourself, enjoy your day tomorrow x

@maman - well that half stone was definitely down to eating and drinking far too much!  Two courses for breakfast, 3 courses for lunch and dinner every day for a fortnight - apart from one day when I had a bit of food poisoning - spent most of the day in the loo - sorry TMI!  Didn't know whether to sit on the loo or stick my head down it.  Also caught a cold, not had one for about 5 years and of course it went straight to my chest and I've ended up with bronchitis and on antibiotics for another few days.  Still at least we did plenty of walking so the weight gain could have been far worse!

@bubbs - the only Free food I can think of which you have most days is fat free greek style yoghurt for your ice cream.  Even when you have chips you only have a few, I usually have loads!  Did your consultant actually reply to that last comment?  It doesn't look like it though.

Decided to have a couple of rum & ginger beers to use 5 syns today rather than not having any!  Well that's my excuse anyway.

Thanks @bubbs; I'm actually feeling OK now but felt rubbish for a few days, well most of the 2nd week really so another reason I was glad to get home.

Nearly all the washing done today.  Dried most of it in the tumble dryer but final load has gone on the airer.  Just have a machine load of jumpers left to do tomorrow.  If the weather is better than it's been today I'll hang it out otherwise it can also go on the airer to dry.

What a ridiculous statement from your consultant @bubbs. Your food is always beautifully presented and you've always had minimal free food. You even have cauli rice! All I can think of is that she's only just noticed! 🤣

Sorry to hear you've been poorly @joedenise. The antibiotics should do the trick. 🤞
