maman said:Well done for taking your breakfast out with you @bubbs. 🤞 you'll have a loss again this week.
I had the SW email today advertising the new book and urging people to stick with the plan over Christmas. 🤔, no soup as only made enough for a couple of days.
Not even looked at emails yet 🤣Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
Thanks for the syn values...I'm only feeding me so I think I'll just put everything in the top freezer drawer and eat the items as and when.
I tend to have my syns mostly over the weekend, rather than 10 or 15 a day so I'm pretty sure I can incorporate stuff for a couple of meals a week (and wine) and just not buy things again!
I bought myself a £1.50 fruit & veg box from Lidle yesterday and I'm going to make soup with a stew pack and slightly soft swede that came in it.
I got a bag of potatoes as well...does anyone have a soup recipe that could use them up? Otherwise, that'll be my main carb for the week.
I'm starting proper on Friday as that's my shopping day, so I'll weigh in then too.0 -
Hi all! It’s been absolutely wild here with the rain overnight, glad I’m WFH again as I’ve got a cold and don’t want to infect the office with it!We’re eating our way through the freezer too, found some Aldi mozzarella parcels and though these can’t be too bad and checked when it was cooking and it was 25 ½ each!@joedenise the stock answer people are being given online is no changes to the plan and just shiny new books. I’ve seen other consultants on instagram say the layouts been tweaked so it’s easier to digest too and they have just done a big update of how they set it out on the online website so it might just be a new way of explaining the plan too. They do need to put fresh pasta as free and they seem to have had a wholesale revisions of syns though over the past couple of months so it might just be so many syn changes it’s needed doing.1

Morning all. Popping in quickly with today's menu - breakfast was porridge with half a banana and some raspberries, lunch is more tomato and pepper soup and then dinner tonight is a fish pie with some broccoli (taking full advantage of DH not being here for a few days and eating some things he doesn't like!)

Morning all, just polished off toast and jam for breakfast again. Will need to pop to Lidl for more apricot jam at the weekend as I scaped the jar clean. Lunch is lentil soup and DS is cooking a tasty concoction he's made before, similar to chilli but using black beans instead of kidney beans with rice.
Only jam syns planned today. Trying to keep syns low this week to lose last weeks gain plus I'm out on Saturday for lunch which I know with this group of friends is likely to involve three courses and drinks.
Have a good day.0 -
@FrankieM - the main soup for using up potatoes is leek and potato but I add a potato to most soups to help thicken them as they break down well. You could also make some mash potatoes and freezer them and then just reheat in the oven like duchess potatoes. You could also make some into SW chips by making the chips, par boil for a few minutes, spray with oil and then freeze. Just cook as you normally would in the oven or air fryer.
Another busy day today with LFT at pharmacy; a bit of shopping (need to buy a watch as have had to return mine as it's not holding charge!); physio and finishing off packing the motorhome.
Today's plan:
B - breakfast hash topped with eggs - onion, pepper, mushrooms, tomato, 5% mince, tin pots - P; S; F
L - tuna sandwich - HEB; P; 3.5
D - salmon & potato parcels; green beans - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - butter 3.5
Have a good day.1 -
I'm getting excited for you @joedenise. Hopefully the weather is picking up and it'll be dry and bright although cold when you're in France. 😊
I think gradually eating your way through the synful items is a good plan @FrankieM . We wouldn't be on a mse thread if we wasted food. But 25+syns for some mozarella @evilsquid is scary!! 🤣
I'd pick out any large potatoes you have for making jackets @FrankieM . I rarely buy baking potatoes specially, even if I have to have two at a time. JPs can be cooked in advance and then frozen too.
I got the impression from the SW email that it's just a fancy new book @evilsquid1603. I'd imagine it might be spiral bound so that it opens flat. They will probably have some sort of list of syns as usual but the website/app is the only way to keep up with all the changes.
If my DH was away I'd be living on egg &chips @ruby_eskimo. You've done well with some really interesting meals!🤣
I'm lurching from one meal out to another @jellybaby so having very few syns in the meantime. Next planned event is next Wednesday so that's a positive. We have planned a fish & chip supper at some point though so possibly at the weekend but may leave until between Christmas and New Year.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S)
L- veggie omelette (P,S), pickles (S)
D- baked hake (P), cubed potatoes, mushy peas (F), carrots, broccoli, cauli, roasted tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
Syns- 00 -
