It was only chunky because of stewed steak cubes instead of mince. I think I'm more generous with the seasoning than M&S! 🤣

I thought of you and your super shopping tonight @bubbs. There was a programme earlier about Christmas food. The trolley from Aldi was about £40 but the M&S one was £124!!!

    Morning all,

Dad finished his radiotherapy now and hopefully getting to a hospital closer to home anyday now. Fingers crossed as a lot of driving involved at the moment. The food has gone to pot but all not completely lost. I have been having my main meal during the day then something small on a night time as I am getting home late. I haven’t been drinking as much and I can tell but im doing the best I can at the moment.

Yesterday was fruit and fibre, then lunch as main meal was a small BP with cheese and a large portion of sw friendly chilli, lots of veggies. Last night I had a bit of toast with lurpak mmmmm

Today fruit and fibre, pot noodle and tonight sausages, peas and carrots and probably a bp – something like that anyway!

Morning troops, yay it's Friday!   @maman you could expect to have two or three trolleys full from Aldi for the price of the one at M & S!  I do pop to M & S for a few treats now and again but have moved away from the big supermarkets over the last three or four years and only pop in if I'm passing one and need something branded or stock up on a good offer.

Yesterday's walk with a friend from work turned into a hike as we got lost!   Ended up out for a good couple of hours and no idea the distance but my legs are feeling it this morning.

Just had bran flakes, f/f yoghurt and banana for breakfast, veggie omelette for lunch and dinner will be beef stir fry using up all the last bits of veg.

    Have a good day everyone!

We got away ok yesterday and drove across to Le Tréport in Normandy.  Very wet and windy last night.  Still very windy so decided to stay another day here as think it might be a bit dangerous driving in this wind.

At least the rain has stopped.  Been out for a walk but it was really hard with the wind against us so didn’t go out for long.  Popped into SM for some veg as not got much and definitely need to eat some.

Having to use DH’s phone as hotspot as Wi-Fi not working here so better not spend too long on here!

Thanks for the update on your dad @klew and good news that he will be coming nearer home. Eating during the day is meant to be good as you have more time to work it off, so to speak. That's probably a good thing as you aren't able to go to spin at the moment. Perhaps if you get a chance to do a shop you can buy in some healthy snacks for the evenings.

Good idea to use up bits in a stir fry @Jellybaby. What sauce do you use?

Good to hear from you @joedenise. As one time, a pre Christmas visit to France was a regular thing for us and I always liked to look in Eurodif. They always had good decorations and often good fabrics and home stuff. I have lots of bits I bought there including my perpetual advent calendar.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, baked beans (F), fried eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
    L- LO cottage pie (P,S,F), pickles (S)
D- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F), carrots chips, green stuff, tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
    Syns- weekend wine!😁
